the past is the past

but the past shapes the now

I don't want to forget

the lessons I've learned

they aid me each day

in the choices I take

I've made it this far

so what's there to lose

when I choose

I'll move on

but I like to dwell

for now

so just let it be

there's nothing wrong

with having memories

they make us stronger

they make us wise

so yeah, to surmise
