Well I'm dead
Expected what you said
But it isn't your fault
My heart is in a vault
I want to be with you
But you snapped my heart in two
Its because you live away from me
I just wanted to be
With you my love
My heart is the opposite of above
No matter what I love you Claire
But I can't find you anywhere
You made me scared
As hard as it is to believe........
Heartbreak serves a purpose. It enables you to mature emotionally and spiritually. The only way any relationship can be classified as a true failure is if you walk away from it having learned nothing. If you learned anything from it then it was at the very least a small success, as you know something now today you did not know before you met that lady who broke your heart. Think of heartbreak as a variety of steps one must take to become who they are meant to be and try to see things from the other person's side. Hopefully she did not deliberately break your heart but just discovered for herelf things were not going so well for her so maybe she saw the ending of the relationship as something that was the merciful thing to do for the both of you. I don't think anyone unless they are mean and hard hearted deliberately sets out to break someone's heart. They end a relationship cause its hurting them to stay in it for whatever reason. This may help, try putting yourself in her place what would be reasons you would break up with a girl? I believe in Karma she broke your heart today some other time she will have her own heart broken. We must experience it all. Poetry does help. Its a great form of self therapy. Salve for the wounds you might even say. Anyway, I enjoyed reading your first poem on here. Welcome to our little big community. I hope you share a great many more with us. Sincerely, Melissa Lundeen.
