When I grow up
Now that I am over 50
I'll try and act my age
But thats a little "iffy".
I'll gain respect for just being me
Now I can act like I'm 23.
Do what I want say, what I feel
Ah hell,I've been doin' that
I've always been real.
No airs to attach
No phonies be here,
You drink your champagne,
I'll drink my beer.
I'll call you honey,kid,
Or toyboy,
I want laughter in my life,
And bellowing joy.
When it's fitting to act
Like a lady,or such,
I can do that,
But not very much.
I prefer to be rowdy,
Wear a purple dress
And red hat
Be obnoxious,but loveable
Its a nitch I attract.
So when I go yonder,
To that cage in the sky,
You all will feel laughter, and joy...
And please don't cry.
As I will be happy,
In my gala depart,
As life will go on,
And end a new start.
Cause if you should see,
An old woman there,
Whom you know doesn't belong,
In an ole rocking chair.
Give her advice,
Sit down for a chat,
And please tell her about..
A purple dress,and a
A big red hat!
Superb!
