Continuing my downward spiral,
I find myself face to face with these
ferocious monsters of the sea.
Scuba diving in the sea of sin,
I see the outer beauty of the coral,
with only myself to please,
thinking only of me,
I reach out and touch the fin
of a nearby shark, angering
the huge creature, endangering
myself. Yet I wear a silly grin
upon this face of mine,
as I swim as fast as I can.
Thinking to myself that if
I tossed the oxygen can
which is strapped to my back,
I could swim so much faster,
and possibly escape the danger
in which I have placed myself.
So, with this complete lack
of good sense, I bury
myself in this grave. Filling
my own grave with the sands
with the sands of desperation
