I feel you in my soul-
Your voice calling to me.
Telling me you're all alone
Crying for a life that can not be.
I loved you as though I have never loved another,
I loved you so much more than words can say,
But God called to you and you had to go,
I wanted to follow, but I had to stay.
I feel you in my heart-
I feel you calling out my name,
Asking me to join you on the other side
Promising to end my pain
I want to go to you
I want to leave this world behind.
To wrap you safely in my arms-
And have all the happiness I can find.
I'm hurting for what was,
My lover and my friend,
Death has never felt so real,
I want this pain to end.
But life holds me on this side-
Death has not welcomed me.
I feel your voice, your call-
Crying for my death, but for now that can't be.
So goodbye my lover, my friend,
I'm sorry, for now I can't go there,
I have a reason to go on,
Why is life so unfair?
