Write!
Write what?
Words that stream from my lips?
Write!
Why write?
To record everything around me?
Write!
Write to who?
To my lovers, to my haters?
Write!
Why should I?
Why should I write?
Why should I record my sounds, my sights
My thoughts, my touch, my taste, my smell?
My hand leading a pen to make words, to spell
Out your name, my thoughts, your words
A secret letter for lovers, a reminder posted on boards
A curse upon enemies, a blessing from a friend
Write!
Why do I write?
Because I want to

By All Means.............
Oh, you should write, the writing allows your soul to speak passed all that noise in your brain. I am not sure how but somehow it sneaks in and around the thoughts of the mind and you know how writers and poets when they write something brilliant they say "I don't know, it was just there" that is the soul sneaking in to have its say and trust me, your true soul stepping forth will always be the better poet. Keep writing so you can have one of those moments and then you will feel so good cause you experience the true beauty that is your authentic self. I really enjoyed this poem. It was quite an improvement. That time away it seems matured your writing some. Imagine if you had kept writing all this time. If you have and just not shared with us here in this little big community of poets then get those old diaries, journals and scratch pads of forgotten poems out and transcribe them onto your web page and share, share, share. Shower this life with lovely fragments of your soul. The world will thank you for it. Sincerely, Melissa Lundeen
Thanks so much, I've been
Thanks so much, I've been super busy for a while and lately I felt like there was no escape and it just hit me. I just wanted to keep writing again but I didn't have the time, but the ideas kept floating in my head and I think I'm definately up for changing my style to fit how I am now. I feel that I might be logging on a little more often now.
