The words see you later ring like a bell in my heart
Though I would break my body to pieces to believe in them
I've no more energy for such foolish adoration
And the men I've seen crying or begging or leaving
The words "I'm in-love", "I can't do this", and "please"
The moments that haunt me when I try to sleep at night
Hands caressing my face, my arms, my soul
All the actions I've been a part of all the things I've let fall apart
I've no more time for this or that, here or there, or anywhere
I've enough to live the rest of my life off moments come and gone
I've known no one so strong as to release me effortlessly and heedlessly
And I'll no longer live my life loving lies and aiding others sorrows
