How do you love someone?

Keep him happy they say.

But do you have to be a pretender

Since he's happy and you're not?



How do you love someone

Who's got another one in his heart?

It's so hard to explain

I can't even understand why.



If only he'd understand

If only I'd understand

I've been longing for him

But he's only a friend of mine.



Though we share thoughts

Though we cherish moments

Why is it si difficult to accept

That friends is all we ever could be?



He's in my heart, do I want him to know?

I want him to share the world with

Yet I should be content

For he confides in me, thank you.



Only interests keep us together

The attitudes are even better

Am I crazy for him, I've gotta know

For he is more than a friend of mine.
