What's Left Behind

When people move they

leave a mess behind.

But what truly lingers is

infitely more precious

than what paychecks bring, like

kitchen islands,

loveseats,

lamps and

electronic gadgets.

--even pictures of the lives

with wich they'd been

acquainted-

all consigned to the nighttime sidewalk

for friday morning trash,

by a disgruntled landlord.

All these tangibles are waste,

when paired against the energy

of angry souls still grieving

over their unwanted

ending.
