I'm finally on the brink,

and at last starting to think



there could be more than a dragon's eye

and all i know, by and by



you were there throughout my pain

and my faerie you'll never be again



seeing through eyes long lost their sight

oh to just once more take flight



and flowers growing wild and way

to see you in my dreams, i'll say



i loved you and your world long gone

and now i only sing this song



i believe in gray skies, tattered and old

i believe in scars, the stories have been told



i believe in the door that opens the gate

the gate to the path which continuously breaks



oh to once more take that path

with destinies unknown



and just to once more

watch the shadows unfold
