ALONE.

 

 

 

 

Just alone.

That is a state I am valuing more and more.

I fled my home to escape trouble

And with it, I fled the matrimonial tide.

My friends are pairing off and reproducing.

Am I alone in wanting to be alone?

 

Sometimes I envy Adam of Eden

strolling luxuriously among the beauty

talking to God or the animals for company.

He being the only human.

Cheese?

Alone is okay for a while, but it gets quiet. Reproduction is a 20 year commitment, after that you can charge rent and board. More and more 20-30 year olds are living at home. I'd be happy just to have someone to play Scrabble with from time to time. I was considering solitude earlier today. Like Lewis Black, the commedian, and I paraphrase: "I come into my apartment and I hear it! Quiet. I love it!"
