A gust of isolation enters my body
It conforms itself to my norms
It makes this frame a shelter, a home away from home
He begins to ice over every inch of me
He then, quickly as he arrived, changes his mind
Instead of a sheet of ice blanketing my skin, it begins to warm
From the outside, in
This gust befriends my body and then myself
Calming and nurturing me
I'm enlightened
And I beg of him to never leave
To never become absent of my body and of me
And he, isolation, never seldom does
A profound personification
A profound personification poem. Great work I most enjoyed it, I have a love/hate relationship with isolation this captured that well.
Long days and pleasant nights
