If Tomorrow I was to Sail

If tomorrow I was to sail

For the passages of the sea,

I'd deck the sails with maps,

The hull with images of thee.

My brow tender, never tiring,

Always searching the far off line.

For the distance keeps a promise

Where blue ocean meets bluer sky.

The planks would bear Brazilian gold,

The hull a reverent sheen.

Day and night my crew chanting

Where your vestige had last been seen.

The gods looking on in wonder,

We'd sail on and on, unmarred.

How far will this man sail for love?

How far? they'd ask, How far?

And coming upon a beach,

And collapsing upon a shore,

We'd find an isle of sweet delight

And you and nothing more!

If tomorrow I was to sail

This is beautiful, remanicant, alluring and so lovely. I could even get jealous. What a lovely style of writing you have in this poem. Hope you and your lover much happiness. Tear, sob your poem is so appealing.

Cute. (Hope you don't mind that word, and maybe I felt something else at first but by the end, that's what came)
