Nature's Novel

Folder:
Nature

The sun is hot but the wind is cold

Winter's coat-tails linger

as lillies bloom - yellow and bold

Young, lightly swaying blossoms

sprout from trunks of old

They tell the same stories

over the years have been told

Rustling blades of grass interpret

As the breeze blows through fields of brown and gold

All of nature listens

as the story unfolds

The title grabbed me........ I so love a great title.

Ya know, I was about to post a poem I'd just written for a fellow poet here on post poems. I'll jot his id in the author 's comments of my poem once I've posted it here in a moment after I finish this critique to you, but your critique  captured me and made me want to quickly reply to you, to reassure you that love for poetry is an indescriminate lover and now I'm so glad that you did comment on my work as I got this wonderful moment to be introduced to you and then through you, your work and this poem was delightful, very well constructed. I now can easily go to your work via your id that is listed above your comment on my poem. So thank you for that. Feel free to add me as a friend if you wish if not then you too will have this comment of mine to easily enough if you like get back to my work. I love getting to know other poets and poetesses. It was such a rare thing for me before I found this web site. Now, I can't imagine not having this wonderful chance to interact with those who are of 'my kind' um so to speak. Anyway, I promise to read more of your work soon but tonight I'm a bit tired as I spent the last previous hour or there about reading another poet's work ( which inspired that poem I'm about to post) and frankly my brain is just this side of fried now.  Do post more of your work eve if it's back log stuff ( I did that years ago and it took me about 3 and a half years to get everything posted from my hand written journals onto this page.) It was a mind   zapping chore but one well worth the effort. I welcome anyone to read my work even if they don't wish to comment but I do love comments even if they are ones that disagree with what I'm stating in my work. I leave them all up good or bad. I look forward to reading more of your work and in closing let me again thank you for making such an introduction. It was much appreciated. I hope you have a happy week. Sincerely, Melissa Lundeen.................

:)

I wish I had back-logged poetry. All that I own is already here. Not too many. Thank you for taking the time to post. I have to figure out how the "adding friends" thing works. I'm not sure how to do it at the moment.
