The sunlight seems so far away

Just before the break of dawn

Never realizing that the night

Was forever dead and gone



This soothing and warm embrace

Is reminding me of the streets

Bathed in dreams and memories

That I have forgotten to see



Lost in this moment we dance

Under moonbeams in our minds

So far away from the sunlight

Veiled in the blankets of time



The one rose that never wilted

In the fields where blossoms grow

Breathing in that fragrance

I'm taken to worlds unknown



I once begged for the rain

If only to wash away my tears

Now I cry out to the heavens

To wash away all my fear



Lost in a moment with you

Hoping that it never ends

Longing for your soft touch

And the chills it sends
