Kicking Around Time

Invisible Poetry Stop, pause, try to wait. Why?
Did life get longer while I was
inside making a survey of the
internal mindscape
that shifts and torments
and sends pictures through
the hands?
No, you get so many hours
and so many days, really short
years that evolve into even
shorter decades.
I waste time looking
at flowers as if my eyes
could time lapse them
open.
I kill time, short time it,
pass time, count it, lose it,
rename it history and, oh yes,
I can stop, pause, and
decelerate time's flight, but
no one is the man or woman
for whom time waits.

Time is the measure of
Time is the measure of expansion of our universe. Since we have nothing to compare it to, we can only perceive it subjectively and individually. Myself, I don't feel time spent looking at flowers is wasted. One must free oneself from the tyranny of passing time, if only for brief moments.

around the face of our lives;

Count downs are something relatively new. If I had time, I'd rule an entire small coener of one room. At 21 I would have said the whole room! Sieze the time! :D ~S~
I very much see time that way
I very much see time that way and I love the title! Kicking out the crutches it can mean so few things ina few ways. One of a nasty passer by kicking out the crutches of a heavily bandaged mummy, or my fave way a kick up the old proverbial but to get up and be there for yourself develop super powers and time lapse flowers! What an awesome thing to try indeed! ;)

I watch the second hand
then the moon to get them
synchronized. If an extra
second can be found
the fame.
