Silent underwater waves
shadowed light made deep blue
a liquid sky of lighter hue
an ever distant surface.
Weightless in this water,
it is simply you,
the endless deep,
and your diving gear.

You would have sighed
at such a sight
if only that were possible
breathing in mechanically
[a slow, steady breath of air]
and breathing out
you blow bubbles
to that ever distant surface...
