Living like a shadow
Its a bright world,full of wonders,
With snow,rain and even thunder.
With colors so vibrant and magnificent,
But how we live in it is significant.
Why live in fear,sorrow and pain,
When there are glorious things to gain.
Why live like a shadow,
instead we could conquer a rainbow.
Why should we remain silent,
When we have a voice so valiant.
Why fear to open your mind
And let everyone push you behind.
Why live like a shadow
scared to stand by your vows.
Why fear to show your feelings,
When you have a face so revealing.
Why try and control your emotions,
And fail to judge your relations.
All the tiring difficulties of life
has made you scared of any strife,
Stop following someone and be lame
live your life freely and not in shame.
Dont let anyone treat you like a shadow,
let down,crushed and die in sorrow.
Break free from this life of shadow,
Scream out when you are in sorrow.
Express everything in your mind.
Search for something hard to find.
Let yourself breathe in peace,
there's nothing in this world hard to cease.

Life is given to us but once
To live it well but how? conscience knowest.
It's not all grey and black Abhi.... gold and silver/diamond sparkling souls also exist. Jai Hind..Time for my spinach

You have expressed yourself quite freely. I don't know how others are going to respond to your thoughts after reading your poem. Some may still pefer to live in shadows. Nevertheless, they would also like to breathe in peace. Welcome to postpoems.org.

Conditioned thinking is
Conditioned thinking is ruling the world right now. We are on 'autopilot', and at the mercy of any sign of intelligence younger than the age of around 7 I think. My favorite line---"Why live like a shadow
scared to stand by your vows."
Seems everyone is too busy complaining about discrimination of the magic piece of paper, and no time to stand by one's word. Where did we (the species of yesteryear) go?

Your concept about people being in 'autopilot' is very true. I guess the present world is governed by hectic schedules that people really dont have time to keep one's word.
