Our Mail Mare
A pony that we all learned to love
Has faced judgment from above
They said she was a disgrace
Solely due to her face
They believe everything needs to be in line
Or it’s an insult to mankind
We adopted her as our mare
But some people didn’t care
‘It’s insulting’ those people said
‘We would rather her be dead’
We knew we had to unite
We wouldn’t lose without a fight
‘Red, yellow, black and white
We are precious in His sight’
No longer had a meaning
The truth they just weren’t seeing
She was taken from us at last
Removed her name from the cast
Of the show we all favored
Our efforts had been waivered
Derpy wasn’t just a pony with a strange eye
She was our mail mare who could fly
She represented that we are all the same:
Humans, just with different names
