- my friend-
.
silence
my friend
the leaves have fallen,
emptiness
within and without.
my life
frozen as ice
coldness
it cares not
in this last outpost
this cave
lifeless and broken
i am
mend me...
-fire and light
flicker...
the shadows dance
against the cave walls
ice drips
silence whispers
solace
my friend...
rest
at first light,
you will play again...
I take it, this was about
I take it, this was about meditation? You, and your silence... To connect with yourself and examine the inner you, silence is precious...
Your use of caves is a nice touch... Caves are more silent, remote, and occlusive. The falling leaves are dead, -- as dead as you feel to the outside self, and to the outside world.
The melting ice and flickers of light against the darkness of the caves is interesting... was this about hope and dawning of new feelings?-- or of the inner you, finally connecting with yourself?
The use of word play is brilliant... It could be taken literally or play could mean, finding pleasure in life again... Finding meaning to life again...
Brilliant rendition of meditation...
