#harshreality #centralnervoussystem #breakdown

Tears roll down my face

as I witness the harsh reality

of the life I lead

The poetic flame sets off sparks

that I sometimes can not control

I realize the poison they’ve been

             feeding my soul

Mind numbing rhetoric rolls off their tongues

                and rebounds

through my central nervous system

and I suffer from a breakdown

I collapse from pressure

and lay underneath the blade

I am war weary and unable

                to carry on

I reach out for the stars but

they remain elusive; out of

                    my grasp

The heaven above merely

taunt me in my failure

I can not ever attain

The stars above in the sky

so I’ll have to continue to face

this harsh reality below
