There shall be no pre tribulation rapture, which is a doctrine so loved by many in the church today. The Lord,Apostles, and the Early Church never taught any pre tribulation rapture. The idea behind this poem is that the Lord has 'caught up' his church when he comes, and the speaker in the poem realises that the Christians had spoken the truth, however Satan persuades this person that it is not true and so the person then heeds the lie. The Lord will come at the end and destroy the anti messiah/christ

The promise of the father, or the baptism with Holy Spirit is a reality for those who have received the Holy Spirit. Many today deny this promise, but the words of the Apostle Peter still ring true, 'Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call.' Acts 2:38,39
