I wrote this inspired by a friend's musical piece that he wrote. I adored the music piece more than I adore poetry itself. Music is the song of the soul. When asked what I thought of his piece, I couldn't say much. Just that I liked it. You'd just have to understand where this came from to understand the poem itself. But I do hope you enjoy the poem.

*A Christian martyr in Nazi Germany who was hanged in April, 1945 as a conspirator in an assassination attempt on Hitler. There are many levels of meaning to the lives of these men, but I believe in their deepest hearts they were striving to do THE WILL OF GOD.

I like to write spiritual poems

*SAQI: AS explained in several of my earlier poems is traditionally the veiled beautiful young damsel who serves wine to drinkers in Persian, Arabian, Turkish, Indian and Pakistani taverns...
BUT, HERE I HAVE ALSO USED "SAQI" IN THE CAPS...WHICH REFERS FIRST TO GOD ALMIGHTY WHO PROVIDES US WITH EVERYTHING GOOD AND CLEAN, PURE AND WHOLESOME, WITHOUT OUR ASKING HIM OR EVEN PRAYING FOR ANYTHING...
THEN MY "SAQI" REFERS TO PROPHET MUHAMMAD (May the blessings and salutations of God Almighty and His angels be upon him all the time).
Like I have explained in my previous poem, I am becoming more and more of a mystic and more and more aware of the real worth of this world, its wants, its inhabitants filled with desire and passion and most of all its destined day of destruction...which is not so far off...

This is in the category of RELIGIOUS POETRY but in fact, if the reader ponders deeply, this is a mystically inspired poem...a longing for the ultimate...TRUTH, BEAUTH....MEANING GOD ALMIGHTY...WHO LOVES US LIKE NOBODY OR NOTHING ELSE DOES...I am becoming more of a mystic (Sufi) these days after having seen almost everything and known so much about this world and its inhabitants...I too LOVE MY CREATOR, CHERISHER AND SUSTAINER...MY ONE AND ONLY GOD ALMIGHTY.
