When troubles seem endless and there's nowhere to turn
You find yourself friendless and feeling life's burn
When outlooks appear so distant and bleak
And the closest thing near is the tear on your cheek
When you're standing apart from what you're made of
Who knows your heart and the depth of its love?
There is only One and He understands
It's Jesus, my son, take hold of His Hands
He knows you better cause you're His Creation right down to the letter, oh what pure elation!
He sees your strengths, your talents and gifts, He'll go to great lengths and his actions are swift
Just ask Him in prayer, give Him the chance and He'll be right there to help you advance
Call out His Name and await His response, then you can claim all your needs and your wants
When it seems as though hope is all gone
And you don't really know if you can go on
When you look around and all you see
Is a lifetime bound for agony
When nothing remains but doubts and fears
Who feels your pains and dries your tears?
There is only One and He'll pull you through
It's Jesus, my son, He'll be there for you
He knows you better outside and within right down to the letter, where you're going and been
He sees your strengths and where you belong, He'll go to great lengths to help you be strong
Just ask Him in prayer in church or at home and He'll be right there, from His Love, you can't roam
Call out His Name and He'll softly reply, then you can claim all that you've been denied
When the world has turned its collective back
And all you've learned has faded to black
When all your friends have walked out the door
And there aren't any bends in your road anymore
When you're all alone and stuck in a rut
Who is it that's known the "who" , "why" , and "what"?
There is only One and He'll make it right
It's Jesus, my son, so cling to Him tight
He knows you better than you ever could right down to the letter and He's understood
He sees your strengths and what you're about, He'll go to great lengths to lessen your doubts
Just ask Him in prayer wherever you are and He'll be right there, you're never too far
Call out His Name and He'll whisper yours, then you can claim all you've hungered for
When all seems lost and it's been quite a while
Since anything's caused you once to smile
When misfortune and gloom stay close by your side
And even your room's not a safe place to hide
When you're out of rope and drowning in sorrow
Who offers you hope and a brighter tomorrow?
There is only One, won't you answer His call?
It's Jesus, my son, you'll be free from it all
He knows you better by your heart and soul, right down to the letter, let Him take control
He sees your strengths, they'll shine in His Light, he'll go to great lengths to bring them to sight
Just ask Him in prayer, invite Him to stay and He'll be right there each step of the way
Call out His Name with humility, then you can claim His Divinity
