*SEHRI AND IFTAR: Sehri is the pre-dawn meal which is taken before the dawn prayer. It is the meal before fasting. Iftar is the fast breaking meal, usually taken some time after sunset and before the evening prayer at mosques and houses. It is not to be confused with breakfast or dinner.
*OMAR KHAYYAM AND GHAZALI: Omar Khayyam was an astronomer, mathematician as well as a poet who lived more than 900 years ago. He is famous worldwide even today for his "Rubaiyat" (Quatrains). Ghazali was his contemporary and a mystic philosopher who is famous for his rejection of hollow rituals and stress on self-negation, inner goodness of the soul and heart, as well as his advocacy of spirituality of the Islamic faith.
