This is a poetic account of a dream some days ago. Norma Jean aka Marilyn Monroe met me and spoke the truth about herself. It was an unusual experience indeed! I seem to have developed an unworldly sort of empathy with Marilyn ever since I saw "The River Of No Return"; "Niagra" and "The Seven Year Itch". While I found that most men of the world ogled and desired her physical beauty while most of the women were envious of her, I could not be a part of their league. The more I saw her snaps and read about her the more I felt that she was a child who craved true love and who longed for it all her life. She failed in having this desire fulfilled...thanks to the exploitation that surrounded her personality like ghosts gatthered to feast on her physical assets. However, to me, Norma Jean/Marilyn Monroe, is a woman who could not succeed in finding true love even with the richest and the most powerful men of her time. In her movies her eyes depict her innate sadness. Gifted with a beautiful voice she, like many other women like her, happens to be the most misunderstood woman of the last century as well as this one. Norma Jean/Marilyn Monroe was REAL, TRUE AND HONEST TO HERSELF and that can be said about very few men and women in history. If anybody fails to agree with me just watch the last scene of "The River Of No Return" in which she sings "There is a river called the river of no return with such feeling and pathos that can come only from the heart. As for those who disbelieve, I have no desire or wish to argue with anyone. My perceptions are mostly deep and spiritual. May The God Almighty have mercy on Norma Jean/Marilyn Monroe and forgive her high up there.
