I love the rain....being able to sit on the front porch and watch it rain is simply delightful.

Probably modeled some on Seamus Heaney.

THe form is a little awkward for the subject I think, but there are some redeeming qualities to this poem, still, I think.

Metaphor is wide-open.

ANother poem inspired in the midst of reading Robert Bly.  I think this works better than some others I attempted to change and draw an ironic twist at the end.

Designed to show the hyper-self awareness carried by those who draw their self-image from others.  Otherwise known as co-dependence.

Just an exercise in imagery and needing work in my opinion.
