Silenced Laughter

Silenced Laughter

Karyn Indursky

Always laughing at her
messy stable brown hair
and puffy eyes. Always laughing
at her nervous hands shaking
as she drops her tray.  Always
laughing at her stuttering in
front of groups. Always laughing
at her crying without any
words. Always laughing at
her fumbling over the right
words or answers. Always laughing
at her gawky movements
and need to hold a book
to her chest. Always laughing
at her eyes never meeting
yours. Always laughing at
her sitting alone or daydreaming
under a maple tree. Always
laughing at her endless attempts
to fit in. Always laughing at
her until her intelligence disgraces
yours with every tests. Always laughing
at her until she stops caring
what you think. Always laughing
at her until she can afford
to wear make up, the right
clothes, and hair down. Always
laughing at her until she
overcomes every obstacle
you throw at her. Always
laughing at her until you
stop judging her and get
to know her beneath your
superficiality. Always laughing
at her until you find yourself
being alone as she moves on.
Silenced laughter.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Here's some inspiration for the girls being laughed at, made fun of, and shunned. You can surpass the criticism. Have faith in yourself and God. A few good friends will help you, too.

Silent Battle Field

Silent Battle Field

Poetic_Eyes

Crumbling on the inside
with tears beckoning to perge
down ivory soft skin,
but taking medicine to refrain.

Crumbling on the inside
to be myself, let my personality flair,
and write poetry,
but when people get mean, insensitive, and full of hatred
I hide my muse,
try not to give them the satisfaction
of seeing how much pain
they're inflicting.

Crumbling on the inside
while people bully me,
are selfish, don't appreciate me, and
silently I try to survive.

Silent Good-bye

Silent Good-bye

Karyn Indursky

I throw your friendship away
without ever squabbling with you
because every time I inquire
about you standing me up
or not bothering to call
you have an excuse
and in silence I will be free
of your infectious disease.

I throw your friendship away
while you're out with
God only knows who
when  you were supposed to
hang out with me,
but chose to hurt my feelings
yet again with your
infectious cancerous behavior.

I throw your friendship away
today and you can't debate it
with me because I haven't told you
when I'm sick of hearing
your lame excuses flowing out
of your mouth venomously
as you are a
infectious cancerous deadly disease.

I throw your friendship away
into the wind to blow
like a vigorous storm
for destroying all that lies
in its path because
you are nothing more
to me than a
infectious cancerous deadly defeating disease.

Women are caterpillars
seeking leaves to feast
upon delicately, daintily
as we mature
and wrap ourselves
in our cocoon
waiting for the perfect tree

while internally our changes
begin to transform

Oh you little nefariuos fool.

Don't you know what kind of trouble this is?

You sit inside your lightbox,

by suckling on the praise of others.

Just silliness, you silly little imp.

That's all you really are.

Isn't it?

An imp.

Nobody likes an imp.

Their foul.

And ugly.

People like faeries

They're beautiful.

And loving.

At least that's what the story book said.

I speak what is written but people don't want to hear it I used to be the one drowning my sins in liquor abusing chemicals to hide the fact the God speaks in more languages than just tongues so I try to keep it simple and when people disrespect you smile and love is the main weapon all in generalities because the singularity is far too much for you to handle what is it that pain and aches you why don't you start with that question and when you find the answer you will know just what is missing that's for all the population the void led to misdirection again I tell you seek the answers and that truth is revelation.

Nobody likes me I am a bum. I don't help out enough but I do help out one by one. Those who come across my path and I give advice even when I'm not asked. I'm not better than you nor you but still I'm despised because I chose to forgive those that despise me. Live my life, make mistakes and confess it all along the way. Leave a message and no one answers. Cannot save all of the strays. Still I walk. Time is a play. Round and round we go each day. Only experience is said. Cannot talk for him or her. Religion constantly tested being heard around the world.

Singing Her Soul

Shaky hands hold a microphone
while a blues tune voice  cuts
the tense audience with a butcher knife
tenderly until slicing vigorously at internal demons
demanding escape from her boggled mind
no longer forced into hovering secrets
beneath happy laughter and hollow smiles
from painted lips to help her mirage
look complete with her raisin eyes
dancing in freedom with her swaying hips
jiggling from her chain belt in harmony
while salsa hair wraps around bare shoulders
like a friend's encouraging hands
when ready to back away from
singing her soul.

Single Or Taken? (Prose-9/14/09)

Karyn Indursky

Sometimes it bothers me to be a single mom, sometimes not. When I think about my ex's I feel better off alone. When I think of that one special man that could complete my life and my son's then I get a little sad and feel determined to continue my quest. I truly believe God will guide me to him and vise versa. It's a matter of timing. Plus sometimes you have go through trial and error to learn things to prepare for that one right person. Although when it's the right person there really are no rules to be followed, but love to be embraced. Whatever. Faith will get me there. Until then, I have my son, a few good friends,  poetry, and myself.

I think of you all the time, and baby sister too. I wonder if you remember me, because i remember you. I wonder if you even know my name.or know that I exist? I wonder if you have my eyes or my stupid bum chin.

I didnt mean to leave you, and im sorry that I did.i have so much stuff to tell you! I have so much left to give. Im the black sheep of the family, I am who I choose to be, I cried one

Time because I saw a baby donkey, I scream when I sneeze. I laugh more than I should, and I sing because im happy, I make stupid noises, I write songs when I feel crappy.

You dont have to ever talk to me, I completely understand.

Im not like other people, who try to force there hand.

Just know that when you need me, ill be here to break your fall.

Thine pink pearls glow on their white necklace chain

making their red hearts linked to sustain
paths to these ladies dreams of trust.

Thy trust bonds begin to glow with the love

Slowing down

Karyn Indursky

Slowing down are tears for thee.
I love you, but I've cried all I can.
My tears have dried on my face for thee.
what were once hot burning tears are now soaked into my skin.
My sobs went to wails for thee.
What started out as cries led me
to heart pounding sobs to wailing.
My body trembled and shook for thee.
My once normal operating body went crazy
when I cried my heart out for you.
My world caved out from under me for thee.
You took everything that meant everything to me
that made up my world and destroyed it when you
hurt me.
I crumbled for thee.
I strived, ached, yearned, desired, etc. you,
but now I am no longer whole without you.

Soft baby doe eyes
break through emotional anguish
when a smile radiates
genuine encouragement
in a world composed
of fakes and you don't know
where you fit in,
but through it all
you know with love
in your heart
from God's blessing
you will prevail.
For with God
you are never
truly alone, unwanted, unappreciated,
but rather unconditionally accepted
from your past
to the present
into your future.
When you realize
friends are legitimate
it compensates for
all the turmoils
you've surpassed
for no matter
what happens or with whom
they'll be there
to see you through,
hug you tightly,
dance in the rain,
and celebrate successes.
All in all
sometimes a welcoming
smiles brings out
your inner beauty
of love for
family, friends, animals,
and above everything-God.

to motivate teams
ourselves as we
find ourselves rooting

on as they
perform their routines
without any hesitation
after practicing daily
for ultimate glory
whether it's at
schools, fields, competition
as they give
their everything to
speculators cheering them
on with every
dance, flip, cartwheel,
split, straddle, etc.
showing their hours
spent in preparation
and when they
make it to
winning their earned
glistening, tall, engraved
golden team trophy
people still dare
to claim they're
not deserving enough
to be considered

Smiling Rainbows

Karyn Indursky

I am thankful to fog
for without it I
wouldn't value sunshine as much.

I am thankful for fog
for the rain comes with it
to help water trees and flowers.

I am thankful to fog
for it's a good time
to enjoy the indoors.

I am thankful to fog
for it's a great time
to snuggle up with a book.

I am thankful to fog
for when it lifts
the sun will come out...

with a smiling rainbow.

Smitten or Bitten?

Smitten or Bitten?

Karyn Indursky

Looking into eyes.
Seeking answers.
Gaining nothing.
Noticing his smile.
Wondering about dimples.
Causing his happiness.
Watching his neck.
Considering sucking, nibbling, licking.
Too timid to try.
Viewing his hands.
Yearning to hold them.
Afraid to contempt.
Seeing his arms.
Desiring to be held.
Not willing to ask.
Hearing his voice.
Getting turned on.
Not confessing to it.
Tapping his shoulder.
Saying, "Excuse me."
Losing use of my tongue.
Feeling his eyes.
Hoping nothing's wrong.
Naive lust.
Tasting fantasies.
Dreaming of tomorrow's.
Lacking faith.
Seeing his back.
Not stopping him.
Smitten by him.
Writing him letters.
Deleting each one.
Bitten by insecurities.

Snail Delicacy (abstract)

Snail Delicacy (abstract)

Karyn Indursky

Squash me beneath
your Adidas sneakers
without any thought
while you later
see what damage
you've done to
my meek life
and scrape off
all remnants before
preparing me for
becoming decorated on
a glass plate
topped with clover
leaves before your
teeth sink gloriously
into your tantalizing
snail delicacy.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I put this under Abstract, but I find it funny as well. If you don't, leave. Otherwise, enjoy your vision and laugh with me.

Snoopy's Wild Ride

Snoopy's Wild Ride

Snoopy's Wild Ride
Karyn Indursky
August 2012

Once upon a time Sir Hercules
was visiting Ms. Peanut,
who wanted to go to Dorney Park.

Sir Hercules took Peanut
on the Hydra when
they ran into Charlie Brown
who had his crush, Sally,
at his side.

The four of them
were smiling, laughing, having a blast
until Snoopy came along
begging to play Frisbee on Steel Force.

This wasn't a good idea
and they wouldn't abide.
Snoopy was a stubborn
little fellow and took off.

Sir Hercules roared with concern...
Peanut was scared...
Charlie Brown was mad...
and Ms. Sally was irritated.

How many times did
they have to tell Snoopy
this wasn't a place
to play Frisbee,
but enjoy the rides?!

They split up to find him,
but by the time they spied
their little buddy
he was standing on top
of Steel Force holding up
the ride and people were furious.

Fury turned to fear
when Snoopy got the ride
stuck with his
I-can-play-wherever-I-want attitude.

Luckily, Sir Hercules had a cell phone
and got a hold of
Superman who flew down
like a bat-of-heck
to save the riders with Snoopy.

Snoopy had to apologize
to the entire park
and was put on a leash,
but alas their Day at Dorney
was a day to remember
with photos-to-go.

Snow Crystals

Snow Crystals

Karyn Indursky

Snow covers the ground
as a white blanket
suffocating the plants
in the most decorative way.

Snow hangs on the leaves
as an overcoat
dehydrating the leaves
for a white Christmas.

Snow drapes on bannisters
as a flurry carpet
to send chills in houses
replacing expensive air conditioners.

Snow screams to children
as sirens
to get them to play and build
without having to pay for baby-sitters.

Snow fades away
as a faded dream
to be remembered only once a year
for it's always replaced with autumn, summer, and spring.

Snuggle Flower

Plant a seed tenderly
into feminine soil to sprout
your raspberry vanilla flower
to snuggle close to your heart

as your fingertips trace
petals of wondrous beauty
naturally unfolding caresses
of womanhood until you pluck it
and put your lady love into your vase.

So Sirius

I think I hear someone crossing on to the other side

A soft whisper of gently taken steps

The slow progress of someone cautious and afraid

Their curiosity too strong....they must make their way across the great divide

Their longing has brought them closer to the rattling bones

Perhaps there is a thing to fill their need here, or a hunger in their soul

I feel someone approaching coming up from behind

Perhaps there is a scent here that draws them ever closer

As I lay dozing with chicken leg in hand

My dog has come a nosing from across that terrifying land

That fearful thing on which she slides....linoleum

Her never ending search to fill her empty belly

Gave her courage to reach the other side

Ah! She finally found her two best friends

Food and a soft carpet on which she does not slide

I am only the keeper of the the snack she sought to find

Soaring Butterfly

Soaring Butterfly

Karyn Indursky

Tiny caterpillar legs wander
around grass to find
fresh, bright green leaves
for nibbling upon.

Changes begin happening to
this little creature until
it's not a caterpillar,
but a creature in a cocoon.

Wrapped in this cocoon
sprouting wings show adulthood
claiming this transformer
and the rest follows in pursuit.

The cocoon perishes
like a groggy dream forgotten
and its place is a
vibrantly colored butterfly.

Wings flap into unknown places
while we gaze in awe
at watching our beloved
soaring butterfly.

Soiled Ground

Karyn Indursky

Wooden pencils hold
lead hair tactfully
in place upon
her artist's head
as she strokes
memories onto canvas
while flicking paint
for an effect
felt deep within
wet rosewood  eyes
telling their own
story of running
barefoot through orchid
fields while holding
embroidered corn fabric
tightly in her
calloused butter churning
hands being tickled
gently by the
wind's long feathers
as she races
forward to meet
an awaiting man
standing there with
arms wide open
for embracing this
ravishing beauty wrapping
paintbrush arms around
his neck before
kissing him passionately
until she realizes
nothing is there
when his body
is buried beneath
soiled ground.

Sometimes

Stand here everyday and watch the world pass me by,

It’s so hard not to just sit down and cry,

So many words I want to say,

But they just can’t seem to find your way,

Sometimes the pain strikes like lightning,

Hitting me right into my heart,

What’s the point of even trying to care?

When at the end of the day I’ll be holding thin air,

And sometimes it hurts like the waves crashing on the ocean shore,

During a storm that will go on for evermore,

The tears flow like a river into my sea of pain,

Too bad they can’t be washed away with the rain,

To drown all the heartache in my soul,

To break the walls I’ve built up so tightly to keep me safe,

Sometimes the world gets to hard to take,

Like a knife straight to my heart,

Too many times I’ve let it shatter and break,

Sometimes I get lost in my own little world,

Dreaming of how it could all be one day,

But now I can’t do anything but sit down and cry,

And watch the world as it all passes me by.

to thee beats of thou muse's drumming chase

spreading musical liberty rhyming

lines to make thy sonnet uplifting face

as poetic license skims the page

with colorful imagery painting words

on parchment uninhibited from cages

from thy ruby red heart strumming poetry

across wind chimes  blowing in howling winds

as thee Liberty Bell is now clanking

songs of life, liberty, happiness finds

it's way home where  it gets number one rank

The streets in batman's car

Raven black blurs
And her sinister laughter
Caught spidermans attention

Spiderman swept down
With a web of tangled emotions
But she was to fast

Joker high jacked the car
With Harley Quinn's hammer
Only to find a flat tire

Cat woman was pissed
And with a heinous hiss
She turned the joker into spaghetti

Spiderman should've been scared
But instead it made his heart pound
With temptation

Cat woman had PMS
And when spiderman went for a kiss
She made him into garlic bread

At the table Harlrey Quinn sat
With the place mats
And together dinner was served.

Speeding

Speeding

Karyn Indursky

A navy blue '87 Plymouth Sundance
sits outside awaiting me to drive it.
I get in it and I'm ready to go once my seatbelt's on.
I start up the engine and it comes to life.
It's making noise, ready to move, and letting me know
it's time to move on.
So, it's off to work or college or wherever,
but I'm in a hurry as always.
It's time to take my foot and press down on that gas peddle.
It's time to speed things up.
It's time to make things and people and life
one great big blur.
It's time for me to feel the cold crisp spring air
hit me with that open window with the sunlight
in my brilliant blue eyes and blonde hair swaying.
It's time for me to sing to the radio as the birds
sing to me every day.
It's time for me to be free like the wind
below the birds and heaven's,
but it won't last if I don't stop speeding.

of "daddy's" threats.

Reflecting on how
he lied, cheated, threatened
without opening lips.

Hidden pain watching
him belittle, degrade, condemn
while no one else sees.

Remembering how he
always knew how
to make you cry.

Hiding emotions tightly
and knowing punishment
was awaiting.

Taking all punishment
because no one's allowed
to hurt family members.

Remembering how many times
he manipulated, bullied, disrespected
all women.

Learning to be quiet
because what a girl says
has no meaning.

Bottling up fear
because someone has to
be level-headed, protective, strong.

Finding outlets prematurely
for rays of hope like
prayer, music, "friends."

Growing up learning
more than text book knowledge,
but not worthy of a degree.

Giving up childhood,
but gaining other lessons
far more important.

Eyes mature.
Calendar changes.
Awareness spreads.

Sprinkling Seeds of Friendship 2008

Friendships are like seeds. You have to know what to plant, where to plant, and what you want. You have to fertilize your friends with compliments, love, support, talk to them, and listen with more than your ears. You have to nurture them with sprinkles of your sunshine, water them with love, and watch them blossom from your care. If you don't treat your friends right, they will wilt away and may not grow back. Yet, if you do treat your beautiful beloved friends with a healing, helping hand they will grow back year after year. These special flowers will bring you more love and beauty than you could ever envisioned. When you decide to plant this seed, it will grow, bloom, and replant itself along the landscapes of our lives. It will be beautiful, tranquil, and will give well-being to everyone who encounters its beauty and wonder.

You never know what's awaiting to sprout

when poetry pours seeds of muses deep
within confines of writer's minds about
to take to their whimsy desires in heaps

of a poet's faith to enlighten those
who love to read an assortment of styles
conveying thy depth of book-worms with their nose
stuck in a writer's portfolio file

exploring different themes to allure you
to see their versatility and flexibility
starting as amateur growing their pen hues

sprouting sonnet

Karyn Indursky

With a pen in hand student went to learn

how to write a Shakespearean  sonnet

words started to spill from her quill yearning

to etch and at times scratching her bonnet

for counting the meters wasn't easy

and she resorted to using fingers

catch flow of  beats without sounding cheesy

writing fluent black lines that shall linger

imagery was dancing when she caught on

her stanzas sang sweet lullabies for your

lyrics to start running swiftly like fawns

harmonizing transitions at your door

so long as thy are willing to try out

you never know what poems are sprouting.

Sprouting... it's Spring!

It's been a while since this imp was around.

Her sleep was induced by a suffering sound.

A heart was weeping, she couldn't be seen.

So she took melatonin to induce her to sleep.

Her dreams were vivid and colorful.

The world that she entered was loveable.

She woke from these dreams to see they weren't real.

And didn't understand the love she'd still feel.

Her heart was on fire and she wanted to dance.

She had to wake up and take this chance.

So she got dressed and went outside.

Her posture was tall her smile was wide.

Her heart was feeling much happier.

So she greeted the day as it opened to her.

Sputtering Out Poetry

Sitting in my room
just a mess for you
with your oh so heavenly
whisky-take-me-away eyes
teasing me into embracing
yet another delicate pen stroke
of embracing you,
my essence of existence,
or shall I call you
by another name
and if I do
does it mean the same.

Sitting in my room
just a mess for you
twisting away my tension mounds
with massaging hands of understanding
I never thought existed,
but yet they do
because whenever I write you,
my crushed violet velvet poetry,
I feel everything bad
removed with a surgeon's precision.

Sitting in my room
just a mess for you
with my medium blue eyes
swimming in my pools
of hysterical laughter
at how wonderful it all is
when you stop taking everything
so utterly seriously
because life is a long feat,
but you my eternal friend
I can always rely
and for that you will always
lie in my thundering heart
of hypnotizing poetry.

around your friends neck

like an amulet

stand by friends.

When assumptions are made

irrationally whether it's jealousy or misinterpretations

stand by your friends.

When your friends are awarded

give them credit with your

supportive words while you

stand by your friends.

When your friends confide in you

while your ears comprehend

and no matter what

stand by your friends.

When your friends have haters

show them you have thick skin

while you show your character by

standing by your friends.

Star light

By Karyn Indursky

Star light, star bright, I wish I could do more
than think of you tonight.
If I could reach beyond these stars or give you
sympathy, I would. I'd set things straight instead
of making you wait. I'd teach you things and watch
what your life brings. When I could help, I would.
You wouldn't have to say a word. I'd automatically
be there. I'm not you, though.
I can't make you realize I'm on your side. I can't
make you feel my loyalty to you. I can't make
you let me near you, let alone in your heart.
I can't make you understand me. I can't make you
let me help you, if you don't want it.
Star light, star bright, Lord help you make it
through tonight.

Star-Lit Wishes

Star-Lit Wishes

Star-Lit Wishes
Karyn Indursky September 2012

Once upon a time in the kingdom of Candy Cyclone
stood Prince Antonio wishing upon a
amber shooting star for a date with Princess Felicia,
who's dimples melted him like chocolate.

Princess Felicia was a ravishing beauty
with long silky spun-gold hair and those
pacific ocean blue eyes lit his soul ablaze.

But she was shy, skittish, bashful
having been hurt in the past,
especially from her blasted ex-boyfriends
which had shattered her fairy-tale dreams
of happily-ever-after's and the idealism of true happiness....

Princess Felisha wished upon that same star,
but her heavy-heart was much more simplistic than Antonio's
for all she wished for was to
talk with him, get to know him better, acquire trust, be friends,
and travel the world of hope,
whether it worked out or not she'd craved
to dance in the waltz of friendship.

Goddess Aphrodite was in charge of the stars
that moonlit night and with the sprinkle of magic
she granted their wish.

With a clash of thunder Prince Antonio was standing before
Princess Felisha, but she was too scared and nervous
to engage him in conversation,
but Prince Antonio had dreamt of this moment
for what felt like an eternity
and start to chatter with his fair beauty.

Conversation starting with a low humm
and turned into a sweet rhythmic song,
but her broken cherry heart was far too fragile
to dive right in, but she did begin to slowly
open up to him like a blooming flower.

Prince Antonio took his time
since she was fragile with vulnerability
and in the transition from being
friends to courting when her sour-patch tears
would trickle down her soft face,
he'd wipe her tears away with a caress,
loan her his ears, arms, and was there for her.

With his sincere love and her mended heart
beneath that very shooting star
that had bought them together
is where their first kiss of love took place.

but only walk to their
final destination.

Sometimes I feel all alone
in a world so large
where no one stops to
exchange hugs
or butterfly kisses on the cheek,
but run to their
final destination.

Sometimes I feel all alone
in a world so gigantic
where no one yields
to have a meaningful conversation
instead of hollow business exchanges,
but drive to their
final destination.

Sometimes I feel all alone
in a world so enormous
where no one hesitates

where no one resists
turning their back on me
to sail right on by to their

Stealing His Kisses (Haiku)

Stealing His Kisses (Haiku)

Karyn Indursky

Funniness is he
running clumsily from me
in absolute haste.

In absolute haste
I can hear the shattering
pieces of the vase.

Pieces of the vase
crackle beneath his sneakers
like rice crispy treats.

Like rice crispy treats
I yearn for touching his lips
before he swallows.

Before he swallows
for digesting it fully
in stomach acids.

In stomach acids
now lie gulped down golf ball
nervous butterflies.

Nervous butterflies
flutter as he lunges over
challenging hurdles.

Challenging hurdles
catch his foot and he struggles
for escaping me.

For escaping me
is impossible after
I am straddling.

I am straddling
his thighs and holding his wrists
with his eyes open.

With his eyes open
he struggles to no avail
and now I have won.

And now I have won
a hollow victory for
stealing his kisses.

at the gym while throwing on Nike athletic

run another twenty miles faster than yesterday's record
not even good enough for him when he
seeks nothing shy of being better than anyone
all over the world when they are competitors
against him while he's practicing for winning every
sport available for his aggressive personality pushing him
towards being number one in everything even as
his life becomes a blur from each victorious

light whiskey eyes looking purely serious while his

Stifling The Screams Of Lost Art

Stifling The Screams Of Lost Art

By Karyn Indursky

Make literature in a blender
for a mixing of imagery, definition, structure
with emotion, honesty, bare souls
in this recipe of singing, dancing, writing
as expressionism for readers, listeners, pupils
to drink as a fine blend of
sweet, bitter trickling wine
on an erotic day where all coherent rationality
is lost in the moment of emerging poetry
stifling the screams of lost art.

Stop Offending Me

Stop Offending Me

Karyn Indursky

You open your mouth
accusing me of harassment
when I'm not doing that at all.

You open your mouth
telling I'm bored when
countless times I've told you
I don't get bored.

You open your mouth
claiming I only smile
when I think of
kissing, foreplay, or sex
and you don't know
how I'm feeling or
what I'm thinking.

You open your mouth
criticizing me, but you're not God
and can't expect perfection.

You open your mouth
telling me people have to be
desperate to be my friend
when I'm probably a better friend
than you can imagine.

You open your mouth
to talk, but I'm not supposed
to communicate or
let me be myself from my personality
to my love for reading and writing.

You open your mouth
telling me I'm always a smart-ass
or forever sarcastic,
but you're not me.

Don't run your mouth
and get to know me.

Stop the rain

for it's eroding

Stop the rain
from falling
upon my flowers
for it's spreading
my nectar to
unknown lands.
Stop the rain
from falling
upon my flowers
for they be
plucked by pickers
around the world,
leaving me empty
inside and out.
Stop the rain
from falling
upon my flowers
for I want
a picture of
their wondrous beauty

Storm of the Century

the cold breeze blows through the night air

harsh, biter, the winds create a tundra

i begin to freeze, from the inside out

my blood, my saliva, the individual cells in my flesh

my heart becomes a crystal palace

the frozen fortress of solitude

an inpenetrable tower of ice

it is from here that i survey the damage

the brutal storm wreaked devestation upon the broad horizon

what once floruished is a frost covered wasteland

where once there was life and love

there is nothing but pain and sorrow

they call it the storm of the century

but this storm is no blizzard

no, this storm is me

Story of the Year

Everyone says this is the story of the year,

The way she held her life in her hands,

Fragile as glass,

Dropped and it would be gone,

Slit by a knife,

She forever knows the scars,

When she thought she was alone,

Her little sister was home,

To watch slowly as the blood mixed with the tears,

The story of the year,

The little girl screams and shouts,

Heard across the whole town,

As her body fell down,

The flashing of the lights,

Cameras surrounding,

All trying to capture the story of the year,

They arrive and its too late,

Stuck with one blood-stained face,

Worlds start to fall,

Now she is only another name,

To be etched on a plaque,

Now she can never go back,

She let down the world,

In the story of the year.

Strawberry Banana Milkshake

Strawberry Banana Milkshake

July 2012

Upon a fawn
sat Princess Bubblegum
she wanted to go shopping.

The butterflies were singing...
birds dancing...
leaves swaying...

Everything was enchanting
until Big Foot spotted
her and ate her fawn.

Princess Bubblegum hid
in the house with
Snow-white and the 7 dwarfs.

Snow-white loved the company!
It was great to gossip
with a lady verses tiny little men.

They sang together,
made eggs from birds,
and sewed dresses.

A prince came along
on a black stallion horse
following the sound of music.

Princess Bubblegum and Snow-white
saw him and it was love at
first sight.

Snow-white tried to hide
Princess Bubblegum in a closet,
but Bubblegum fought back.

With the oven door open
she gave her a shove
and made brownies.

The prince was impressed,
but brownies made him thirsty
for water.

The dwarfs came out
and realized Snow-white was
no more.

They tried to fight Bubblegum and the Prince,
but they were no match
and wound up a strawberry mixer.

The Prince was a pig
and didn't want to share,
but before he could blink
she surprised him and put him in the blender...

for a strawberry banana milkshake.

Strawberry Lagoon

Strawberry Lagoon

Karyn Indursky

March 2013

Once upon a strawberry lagoon

Poetess Sylvia was traveling on Poetry Lane

with her keyboard striking dictions cords,

letting her free verse flow.

Poetess Sylvia whittled pages upon pages

on her banana-bread paper

etching the riddles of her heart

from fiction to fantasy to romance to

the skittle skies of imaginations...

Her soul sang the chorus

of her bittersweet sagas touching hearts

from country to country, nation to nation

with sweetness pouring inspiration...

Poetess Sylvia grew to be a renound writer,

but a sweet chariot friend to be cherished

like a treasure of faith,

not to be taken for granted.

Her sunflower readers supported her

as a person, writer, single mother

while they learned not to be

mean, insensitive, nor selfish.

Poetress Sylvia blossomed in

a field of an artist's soul

singing her flag of American poetry.

Stresses about washing machines aren’t worth your time: get the cure!

Washing machines are a necessity for every family where women don’t wish to spend their lives doing household chores and where maid charges extra for laundry (which is practically everywhere). The machine too gets tired of dealing with all the filth and like every other electrical appliance; the washing machine too has the right to malfunction. Doesn’t mean you have to suffer, not when you’re paying for the Wi-Fi.

Fix your machine:

Washing machine repair in Gurgaon is not an issue, just look for a company that can repair damaged ones! Now, one can ask how they are to know about a reliable company, well the first thing you can do is Google. If they’ve got a webpage of their own they obviously operate on a large scale and if you’re lucky their services will be available in your area too.
Washing machine repair in Gurgaon is available in all the functioning parts of the city and the established repairing companies have their reach far and wide. All you need to do is place a call to avail their service.

Can they work with your brands?

They can work with any known brand from Samsung to LG and everything in between. So not unless your machine’s an antique, you’re good to go! Washing machine repair in Noida shouldn’t even be a concern in that case. Whether you’ve not seen a whirlpool form in days, or it’s some other technical fault, everything can be taken care of once you find out the right company for Washing machine repair in Noida.

Strive

Second place only deserves a silver medal

How could I ever compare?

To Poe, Shakespeare, Dickens, Seuss?

My rhymes are formed by silly childlike phrases

Words of sheer brilliance never escape the lips of my mind

My diction lacks creativity

Almost as if ideas were stolen

It all seems like a useless repeat

Colorful letters pasted on history’s kiss

Lovers, haters, winners, losers

Death, Life, year by year

We have lost count

I strive for renewed hope

Of a verse unwritten

Unbeknownst to the wheels of time

Have gold draped across my stone

Strive to be my own genre

Instead of a stinging serpent

Sucking away clever couplets

Reducing the value of each time worn verse

No longer original

Blending into the countless hopefuls stealing words

Why do I hate her

Foreign to my mind

Patient, will I try

Nullified by consistency to cry

Racking my profit and ignoring prophets

Moans of distraught bloom in like angels

As my hands slide up my face in my hair they tangle

Bountiful a charity to a noble cause

To see it's falicy to dog my notion

Atop the stream that hangs in space

Below the yellow river

Do I kill her?

Suicide's Lullaby.

A wedding in which should have been cozy.
Soft, floral, warm and even lazy.
Turned out differently than expected,
The glorious music was well selected.
Her gown was woven with such decadence,
And now feather satin is caught on the picket fence.
Her hair--which was so pretty that night--
Lost it's shine, wild in the dim light.
She sits knelt in fromt of a grave,
Her mind flashing back to that day.
He was so tremulous, affectionate;
And his affections for her were never met.
His lips had just touched her own,
When he raised the gun to take his turn.
Shot himself, widowing the poor girl,
Crimson painting her dress and curls.
She sat there for so long,
Singing his dead body lullaby songs.
Wiping blood from his face,
Ruining her royal white lace.
She cried until she couldn't cry,
THough now, her tears she couldn't seem to find.
She lies at his grave, body light--
Lightning bringing flashbacks of her life.
As she remembers, she sings the suicide's lullaby.

Suicide.

Blood heats, then begins to boil.
Electric flows with the clock's ever toil.
Chocking back screams,
Liquid pouring at the seams.
Lying in crimson this time,
And still see the shine.
Wrists are bloody and gory,
The dripping itself telling a story.
Bubbles of red dot the lips,
Not matching the blue of the fingertips.
A smile curved at the mouth,
The twisted visage oh-so foul.
Never looked so at peace before,
So the knife twists for even more.
The grating of the knife against bone,
Didn't even seem to be known.
Every second collecting dust,
Doesn't seem to diminish death's lust.
Then flesh begins to burn,
Insides slowly rot and turn.
You've set me up to fail this time,
And now, death's embrace is mine.

Author's Notes:
No, I'm not suicidal.

Suitable For Shelter

Suitable For Shelter

Karyn Indursky

Bluish-black eyes smile
at forgive-me-not flowers
sent from him,
her esteemed lover,
as he apologizes
seemingly heart felt
to blinded eyes
slit open slightly
hoping to see
hallucinations become reality
yet it doesn't
abide to demands
like she did
when his eyes
scorched her soul
before pinning her
on carpeted floor
without a struggle
against rippling muscles
eating her petiteness
like savory steak
again before he
spreads her legs
after savagely ripping
off her clothes
right before sinking
deep inside her
now tainted womanhood
until he smacks
bare ass cheeks
louder than her
crying, screaming, whimpering
turning his brutal
hormones on more
since he feels
electricity surging through
rapist veins possessing
control, power, dominance
and right before
tumbling into orgasm
sweaty hair gets
abusive male yanks
causing her uncontrollable
loud, yelping screams
without relent until
orders are met
through sobbing eyes
begging for mercy
that's not provided
from his laughing
satisfaction in seeing
misery cloaking her
frail naked body
going completely limp
upon finding unconsciousness
suitable for shelter.

felt the grass skimming her

At last, she is wearing
that pink, blue, and purple
string bikini that she's been yearning
to wear for months.
Heat from the sun kisses her skin
ever so desirably. She'd yearned for that, too.
Birds sing in the distance tickling her ears.
Water glimmers under the miraculous sky of soft blue
with those cottonball clouds.
Rays of heat beat down on her
and she dives into the lakes.
It's summer.

From a seed to a sprouting light green stem

for time keeper will be hitting the gong

as hands of time are calculating her bloom
to see her full round face sun-kissed with seeds
under thou sunlight's  kiss of sweet perfume
as sands of time slides down from being weeded

under the golden yellow sun she starts
to show the growth of her pretty petals
and with the magic of nature her heart

Superiority

Superiority

By Karyn Indursky

Superiority is a bewildering thing. I'd think that
instead of treating a person badly over not understanding
something, people would share their knowledge.
I don't fathom why people give others attitude problems
for not knowing everything. Part of being human
is not being perfect, which isn't always a negative
thing, but, when others believe they're almighty, it
demonstrates their need to grow up. Working
together, teaching each other, etc. has gotten
us far, but, if people don't lose their complex,
we'll all be inferior because no one will be
wise enough to know no one is truly superior.

Superman

Number one criminal

An ancient face printed on a crinkled paper

Worthless, priceless

Until they make it so

A paper with a face

Forgery forbidden

Secrets without a trace

Greed, jealousy, hate

Products of our timeless hero

Forming civilization with ingenuity

The collapse follows with society’s stupidity

Unaware

Their greatest hero

Quickly becomes the heart

Of corruption

Blame quickly pointed

Our superman

Destroyed through ashes

By his kryptonite

Our greatest genius

Reduced to traceless paper

Without a name

Through time

All will be forgotten.

Surrender to the mammoth

Scandals

Named tort and ture

Partners in crime

Enemies of cure

Lure me into these shallow depths of stables cluttered with filth

Wearing fur in the baking sun

The timer 'bings' .. my meal is done

Fulfill me please for pleasure has turned to the exterior world

My heart has given up on what's important

Pickaxes chip at the bones in my feet

As they weaken my stance I one last time glance around

Perhaps my surrender will save me

Mammoths stampede and shake the ground around me

Rubble bounces to my face that lays on the ground

The remainder of time is being spent

For soon Ill have none left

Orange pointed birds circle from above performing miracles it seems

mere hallucination my love

My mind has cashed in but the gambler still near

There seems to be no method to get him away from here

Survivor

Survivor

By Karyn Indursky

I sat beside you when needed me the most
and told you of a love so grand as I held your hand.
I tried to tell you of God while ridding you
of your hate and pain from the deceit you brought
upon yourself by not being true.
I tried to show you the error of your ways
and how to fix them.
I tried to show you how much you're loved
and how it's all heart felt.
I tried to touch you with my heart and soul
by caressing your hand and being strong
while you sat there crying.
I lent you my shoulder and, yes, it was wet and cold,
but I loved every minute of it because I was consoling you.
You determine the outcome of your life and what you do.
Don't lose hope or give up because deep down you are a survivor.

Swampy Delight

Bare trees lay among the fog, the sea of ghostly white absorbs the moons light, it fills the wood like silk.
All but the fog is motionless, the soft footstep treaded ground, remain dark and at peace. It churns into itself, morphing new pathways and the prints dissipate.
Discreetly, the fog flows slowly into the roots of the dead trees, as if giving unto them, life. For their bare branches become elusively surrounded by warm colored leaves.
The sun has risen leaving the moon faded and retired, beams of light seep through densely packed leaves, the forest was a sight of being.

Ghostly translucent Figures evaded the newly constructed paths that lay sporadically throughout the wood, and with each step lie a print of their foot, the presence of each step emitted brilliant light, and fading as quickly as it came, returns to the next step each figure presently takes.

Let our freedom
sway proudly across
America's free lands
for all to see
red, white, blue
in recognition of
what soldiers died
years ago to
obtain no matter
who threatened us
with and without
allies to back
them, not us
as we stood
and still today
stand as one

Sweet Aroma in hell's lair

I cannot say too much, for I have not alot to say

Except to discuss these feelings that have me obey

That hit with fire and glue to my name

That judge with hostility and anger no longer maintained

Terminations of the holy spirit cut in like a hot knife through butter

So fast does it perform that the spirit hasn't one word to utter

My tanks out of gasoline and my engine starts to sputter

 Blindfolds and manifested confusion holds

 Windmills and hot dirt

                        Dry air

false clouds and loopholes

Circuit city in my head, turnpikes, freeways noise that never ends

Traffic slowing my velocity to knowing

That how to be

Is only here

And has always been showing.

Sweet dreams

Don't look down, don't feel sorrow. That pain is just a moment of hurt. Happiness is just around the corner. Keep your head up my dear, and don't shed a tear. Become at ease with life and have piece. Lay your head down tonight and breathe it all in. Slowly... Let it out, the pain, hurt, sorrow, and confusion. Don't let this life kill your spark. Even though sometimes the only way you can shine your light is in the dark. Rest your head. When the morning comes, take my hand and we can be lead out of this dark tavern where we preside. Greater things are amongst the horizon. When we awake, let us conquer the day, and steal the night away. Now hush my dear. And have no fear, for this is only sweet dreams my love, but never good-bye.

Someone will always love you.

Sweet Easter Dreams

Sweet Easter Dreams

Karyn Indursky

2013

Once upon a time

Peter Cottontail had a blue lagoon colored basket

full of plastic grass, decorated eggs,

chocolate bunnies, a candy carrot,

Reese's peanut butter cups and ring pops

to deliver to his Princess Tasha.

He hopped through yards

of jelly bean delights with

skittles falling from the Hershey chocolate sky

while his friend, Granny, helped

make skittle ice cream in a jelly bean cup

and put a cherry on top with a tinge of whipped cream.

Hopping down the Bunny Trail,

Granny and Peter Cottontail went to

see Piglet, Christopher Robin, Eeyore, Winnie the Pooh, Rabbit, Mr. Owl, and the Gopher.

Granny went through the Chocolate Strawberry Forest

where vanilla and dark chocolate strawberries gingerly fell

into Rabbit's candy carrot basket and when she arrived,

she set his present in his beautiful vegetable garden

with a card sealed with a chocolate kiss sticker

and snuck into his kitchen to put his ice cream

into his freezer.

Peter Cottontail hopped through Cotton Candy Avenue

to put a small raspberry red woven basket at Piglet's door

with a card attached to it, "wishing you you a happy-hippity-hop Easter"

for when Piglet would look in she'd see a dancing toy M&M to play with

until their batteries died and she decided to eat her goodies.

Christopher Robin was taking a walk in the woods with Eeyore, and Mr. Owl

collecting daisies, daffodils, and roses for his Mom's Easter Day present

while Granny left their baskets on a blanket for them to eat, enjoy, and have

a competition to see how many licks it'd take to the get the center of a Ring Pop without cheating.

Granny and Peter Cottontail had to work as a team

to deliver Winnie the Pooh's gifts for his were extra heavy

and they borrowed Christopher Robin's little red wagon

to pull 5 overflowing pots of honey to his kitchen

and left his pots on his oak wood table where they

had painted Winnie the Pooh in Easter Colors.

The Gopher and Eeyore got their baskets set on the blanket

after Peter Cottontail went through The Hundred Acre Woods

and their twig brown baskets were stuffed with

rainbow decorated eggs, blue raspberry, watermelon, and strawberry ring pops, Reese's peanut butter cups,

miniature milk chocolate bunnies, and Jolly Rancher jelly beans

to enjoy their Easter-Friend-Picnic party.

Peter Cottontail and Granny hopped down a trail

of Easter grass with tulip petals leading the way

to Princess Tasha's castle where they gave her a special tierra

made from cherry Twizzlers to wear atop her Golden Graham hair

and a basket shaped like a crown

where they had it overflowing with

dark chocolate bunnies, Reese's peanut butter cups,

Barbie designed Easter eggs, skittles, and a friendship charm bracelet.

When Peter Cottontail and Granny were done,

they went back to Easter Land where their

Gummi bear friends were waiting

with a surprise party, which made their eyes fill with sparkling cider love,

friendship was flying like the American Flag, and the value of true friendship

sang their sweetest Easter Dreams.

Sweet Melancholy

A little bit empty

A little more insecure

This sweet elixir only magnifies it more

One, two, seven, nine...

I think I've lost count

I should take another sip

Fall deeper into decay

A little bit lost

A lot more confused

But mostly numb

One, two, seven, nine...

I'm not sure anymore

Sip by sip, breath by breath

Maybe this poison will revive my heart

Beautiful moments always pass so quickly

If only I could capture them with my lips

And hug them with my heart

As feelings fade into melacholy

Your eyes will never dance upon this face again

Only in photographs and memories

As I restore myself on the coast of somewhere beautiful

Sweet Poetry Bliss Sonnet

Sweet Poetry Bliss Sonnet

Karyn Indursky written with Dove

How doth poetry entrance a fine heart

and sweetest of imaginations?

With the beauty of thy words from the start

and beautifully crafted fascinations

Beautiful and sweet like warm kisses so fine

Soothing and tender thy words so sublime

Romancing our souls with each poetic line

The hearts intoxicating like fine wine

Thy quill pen starts to chatter on paper

loving poetic license helping to

mold thy words into a body shaper

accenting thee emotions in pink hues

As long as our imaginations flows

we'll embrace thee with all the words we know

Sweet Red Wine

Sweet Red Wine

Sweet Red Wine
Karyn Indursky
July 2012

Once upon a time
in a gingerbread house
Miss Piggy had the munchies.

Shrek dropped bye
and her stomach was growling
like a polar bear.

Before he could speak
Miss Piggy ate him
like a black diamond steak.

Hanzel came home
starving for ham
and threw her into a pan.

Kermit barged in
wanting Miss Piggy to play,
but her found her on a plate.

Hanzel wiped his mouth...
Kermit grew enraged...
and the doorbell rang.

Pocahontas was there for brunch
with her fork and knife
they became her lunch.

Stuffed to the brim
she fell asleep,
forgetting the door was ajar.

Cruella Deville creeped in
with her stolen wand
to alter Pocahontas into wine.

With her glass in hand,
feet on the table,
she drank like a fish.

Sweet Sadistic Smile

a sweet drop of saline runs

down my face, down my cheek

sorrow flows like a river

into the canyon of a puddle on the ground

and in the empty cavity of my chest

the blood, the bones, long for something they cant name

as my body shuts down, my muscles make a final move

my lips slowly form a twisted smile

Blink through the silence
Let it carry your mind away
Let's play pretend
Even for only a day

As I reach out my hand
I pray that you'll hold it
As for my heart
You already stole it

Helplessly falling
There would be no shame
Acting upon desires
As we change the rules of the game

Yet nothing is infinite
As the cloud starts to shake
Violently, we lose our balance
Screaming I awake

Desperately clinging onto my false reality.

Where for art thou my sweet little kitten?
Art thou lost, alone without any milk?
Did thou'st forget to put on thy mittens?

used to cover thy tabby playful paws?
I hope thou'st doth not use thy sharp claws
where unconditional love sees no flaws
and thee sweet murmurs of purring shall roam
to help find thy way into awaiting arms.
For thou'st is cherished like golden treasure;
come to where thou'st belong my orange charm.

Tail-less rabbit

Where is this tail-less rabbit leading me now, I'm in an environment that's proven unsound. My memories, emotions, thoughts and mind have claimed ownership of all that hints freedom. I'm chasing down spirits and phantoms that lead to cold aggression, here there is no hope of progression, and here I am kept.

Misery...Misery....What is this misery, that moves me like a puppeteer, that seems to whisper fear in my ear, Misery, leave me be, I have no room left for such things. I have become satiated with all of your promises, all of your lies, all of your labels, and all of your time....So full and fed up, yet still I know not where to go, no signs to point me home, and there is noone to hold. I'm alone....Yet so surrounded by the 'people' in my head, the entities that collaborate and move me with death.

There's something inside that pretends to like the idea of finding truth so sublime, recognizes an opportunity of love to indulge my interest and runs away when time comes to practice....It's all so familiar...Everyday life with empty wishes and promises that creep in croners of a petty light, a petty light that surfaces to be nothing more than a lie that only wished to blind me, blind me with hope that was born from past, past that's been accredited as a possession to a beast, a beast that has an image to protect, to protect lest he be vanquished, vanquished so to see that it was but a dream....A dream....A dream....

I have reconciled with a resistance to behold all that has been granted from the grandeur of life, and plummeted it down to nothing but mere indifferent delight, with limitations, with fright, the waves inside flow with a swampy tide. I have combined self interest with confusion, and I sit in compost, watered down waiting to sprout but I have yet to relax, for only tension claims me, like balancing over lava, I fear to dive into the heat, into the flames, every inch I move is calculated immensly in the brain....The brain...A muscle that holds all inventory of any thing I say.

Angry words surface
when the subconscious
fails to care

Vicious words arise
out of the subconscious
until raking havoc
upon its victims.

Denial sings excuses
later when the victims
cry, scream, avoid
and consequences are to be faced.

Apologizes are useless
unless sincerely felt,
behavior supports it,
and both parties are receptive.

Personally,
you're best bet

Tale Of A Dark Red Rose

Tale Of A Dark Red Rose

Tale Of A Dark Red Rose
Karyn Indursky
August 2012

Once upon a time Princess Butterfly
ran into Prince Henry
at a local floral shop....

He gave her a dark red rose
and scribbled a note
for her velvet eyes to read.

Princess Butterfly thought
he was sweet, romantic, endearing
and sent a pink rose
with a little poem on a napkin back.

Prince Henry sent her
a bouquet of African sunflowers
with a Hallmark card attached
sprayed lightly with cologne.

Princess Butterfly heart began
a rud-a-tap-tap rhythm
of feeling his courtship,
which led her to send him
a picture frame with undying love
etched into the love letter
written upon the back.

Prince Henry began to smirk to himself
since he was secretly stringing her along
to get a booty-call and add a notch to his belt.

Princess Butterfly was young, inexperienced, unsuspecting
and sent a carriage to bring him up to
take her to ball.

Prince Henry showed up looking dang fine
with his tuxedo, those sparkling eyes,
and his tone caressing the skin of her soul.

Princess Butterfly sat next to him in the carriage,
but he wouldn't keep his hands to himself,
let alone his lips.

He kept trying to kiss her rouge lips....
Her swan-like neck...
Put his hand on her thigh....

But the fair princess wasn't used to it,
didn't like the harassment,
and with a swift kick of her high-heel
his butt ended up on the muddy ground.

Prince Jaydon oversaw her in tears,
gripping at the string to her dress
to make sure she wasn't giving free shows
and learned he was selling her poem
to make money for himself.

She took back her book of poetry brimming
with art, love, commitment
and all the dirty money he made off of it.

Princess Butterfly fell into Prince Jaydon's
arms while he fixed her dress,
calmed her emotions,
helped get her heels back on,
and escorted her to the ball.

Princess Butterfly and Prince Jaydon
were a hit with their embracing personalities
lighting up the room and mingling others to
dance to the beats of poetry's bind.

Igniting my passion

Tauntingly Single

Tauntingly Single

Poetic_Eyes

I snuggle with my pillows
wishing it was a man's chest
and the blankets are
the warmth
of his
heart, love, soul,

but when I wake
up in the morning I'm alone,
prayering one day the right man
will sweep me into his arms,

talk with his heart,
and escort me into
love's romance for

my happy ending.

Tear Stained Bullying

Tear Stained Bullying

Karyn Indursky

Smoky hue emotions
cloud my blue eyes
as I try to stay calm, cool, collected,
but when bullying doesn't cease,
selfishness
doesn't dissipate,

when people don't
defend, protect, or speak up
tears brim with a tightening chest,
and wishing I could fade into hiding
or people would stick up for me,
take a stand,
try to end it,
loan eyes and ears,
hug me whether it's my
brothers, sisters, friends, family...
or maybe hold me...

If it's a man
and try to soothe my pain stained
Caucasian skin with words
of encouragement, support, and understanding.

Tears from the brain

Tears from my brain
How they make me insane
repetitiveness
Reckless
Merciless
Senseless

The dark thoughts have formed dense webs inside me
Catching my attention when I least expect
So still I feel stuck
refusing to let go of the reins
I can feel the pressure in my veins
Oh how tears from my brain
How they make me insane

Though seen as mere motion
The intensity is not lost
A emotionless hell
where sight is lost
Reactions to hardly nothing
A silent film where feeling is gone
Wandering through a world of blur
Heart is empty nothing can stir
Can't muster up a word to say
Fear, apathy, or who knows
All I can say
Is that this is a state in which I used to live everyday
A place where I couldn't hide
Lurking like a shadow with deadly intentions
I write these words to inform all who read
When all feels lost, lonely, cold, and dead
Where you feel numb everyday
That you know
There's freedom that's always here
you're drowning yourself with fear
Your very seek for love is what drives you crazed
I invite you to cease everything
See the peace
that's in you
All is not lost
It never was
Join the flow of life that's living you and me
Resist no longer for theirs nothing but hell otherwise
Like a leaf with the wind
like water on skin
Flow as it flows
Go as it goes.

Teddy Bear Sonnet

Teddy Bear Sonnet

Karyn Indursky written with Ms. Dove

Thou poetry is a brown teddy bear

to be held tenderly in a snuggle
like sweet as chocolate bunny care
for you to treasure dearly and cuddle

Soft and dear are thy words to be used

To brighten our lives each and every day

To comfort the reader and be amused

thy poetry cuddles souls many ways

Thy poetry becomes a darling  friend

with thee hugs as splendous as honey

writing buttercup pen pal notes mending

thou heart strings and worth more than your money

As long as thy teddy bear words snuggle

Our hearts shall embrace its poetry cuddle

Tell Me How It Feels...

Tell me how it feels...

By Karyn Indursky

Tell me how it feels to...
push me away when I get too close.
say, "I love you.", but want a break.
have me suffer.
have me cry.
have me open and speak up for you to want to push me away.
have me on a yo-yo string to play with.
have my heart in the palms of your hands as you
squeeze and crush it.
be a part of my pain.
cause such heartache and anguish.
be one of the many people eating at me.

Tell me.

Are these knots I think I feel in my brain real
or am I just too frailed by my self identity.

Is this event as hectic as I make it seem
or is it so simple
I skip a glimpse of the unseen.

Tell Myself

this tragic routine is wearing me

no rest obtained when i drug myself out

yet every morning i arise baased on an interval

5 measly hours or so since i popped a pill

a full nights sleep, a total stranger

i search for something more time filling

i go crazy in the process

break down only to realize

hey, that just passed 90 minutes

i should really let sanity slip more often

sanity is for the weak i tell myself to comfort myself

knowing full well ill never be sane

knowing full well my brain cant stay on track

on this miniscule ammount of sleep

i know full well i make no sense to anyone else

but nothingness makes a lot of sense to me

go figure, i become more demon the longer my eyes apart

insomnia destorts my demonic figure though

who am i

who are you

who cares cause i sure as hell dont

nothing matters when you can never see straight

from blood shot eyes, all you want is one

only one good night of sleep

thats enough

that will do

that would amaze every sense

that, will never be

do i care? of course i do

do i hope? fuck yea i still do

am i optimistic? optimism is for the weak

or so i tell myself

maybe i am just the weak one

for all the bullshit i feed myself

weak is all i could be

tenthings

the first thing is she's smart. really smart.

the next thing is her sense of wonder.

Then her eyes... damn her eyes.

Her hair, you could get happily lost.

Then her smile that melts evil.

And her skin. You can't forget that.

Can I mention her amazing ass? Is that OK?

She takes great care of herself... That counts too.

She's got a plan and a purpose and everything she needs to live a great life. That counts.

And she's crazy about me.

There are a lot more. But you get the point. Now write something that will make someone smile.

Thank God For You

Thank God for you

    Karyn Indursky

You're the sweetest child
I ever did see.
Your eyes are so blue, pure, innocent...
simply beautiful and wondrous.
It's deeply profound
how you turned my life upside-down
and have made my problems become unbound.
You make me want to become
a better person
and put my fears, insecurities, problems away.
It's no longer time to be held hostage
and trapped in mourning, grief, remorse.
It's time to suck up all the glory
and share it with you.
It's time to thank God for you.

Thank You Hug

Peel off your guise.
Show your emotions.
Hold me in your arms.

Let me cry upon your shoulder
until the storm relents
as you help solve my problems
and don't desert or abandon me.

Your friendship is my ray of faith
and your hand in mine helps me
feel cared for, wanted, and treasured.

Your arm around me would make me
feel safe, protected, and I would give you
a thank you hug

Thank you India

Thinking in tens to represent nine and arrive at eleven. Double of nothing is kept in between. Degraded or upgraded train of thought which they made a 6. Love it or hate it sacrifice which one day was flesh. Misread misunderstood and tyranny spread it. Root of all evil to keep us enslaved. Slowly but surely we are waking up. Learning to be one the golden ratio will never be war. Pingala take away the la and all it is is flesh. That's all they ask of me until time of death.

Lucky are we to view

When in doubt
turn to friends.

When in despair
trust God.

When in tears
borrow a shoulder.

When in question
ask for help.

When in bewilderment
do your research.

When in sorrow
crank some music.

When in negativity
find an outlet.

When in trouble
find a solution.

When surrounded by smiles
smile on back.

When surrounded by laughter
join on in.

When surrounded by love
drop your guard.

When surrounded by diversity
find common ground.

When surrounded by "strangers"
befriend someone new.

When surrounded by family
play "catch up."

When surrounded by compassion
bathe in it.

When surrounded by friends
thank your angels.

Thanks

Thanks

Karyn Indursky

Your arms opened to me for a hug.
Love poured from your eyes.
You made me feel.
No matter how much I tried to push you away, you stayed
I was your first priority.
You put your life on hold for me.
Time was never important.
I was important.
You gave me all the help you could.
If you couldn't help me, you got someone else to.
You brought out all my qualities.
Nothing was hid.
You loved me like no one could.
I did everything I could for you.
I tried though.
The most important thing, I can't do.
As I stand here watching them lower your casket, I only regreat one thing.
I never got to say, "Thanks."

Author's Notes/Comments:

Wrote this about my cousin, Anthony Romig. RIP, God bless, and I love you always.

the crying never stopped you

the screaming never made you hesitate

au contrare, it only fueled you on

the harder i called out

the harder you lashed out

the insults, the reprimands

degrading comments, and backhands

your "disciplinary action"

sure taught a thing or two

worthless

incompetent

ugly little faggot

shithead

and imbecile

a hollow little shadow

you taught me everything

you made me who i am today

from the bottom of my heart

...thanks a lot

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving

Karyn Indursky

Cutting through
the difficult
obstacles
we've faced
this year...
together and individually,
we've learned a lot,
which has given us many things to be thankful for.
This year let's take the time to thank...
the dead,
defenders of our country,
war heroes,
our communities,
family,
friends,
God,
and so much more.
Instead of just
reciting the Bible
and the general listings of what to be grateful for,
let's stop and think about who and what we're really thankful for.
Whether we spend this day with our family, friends, or by ourselves,
let us join our prayers for a common cause...
the human race.
Maybe,
this will be a milestone
and not just another Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving 2005

Thanksgiving 2005

Karyn Indursky

Thanksgiving 2005

This Thanksgiving I'm writing a thank you poem
because I am overfilled with gratitude.
I am thankful for my family,
who's stood through me being
in the hospital and my medicines not working
without failure to encourage me to do well
and know they'll always be there for me.
I am grateful for my boyfriend,
who has helped me through these rocky times
and will be here for me in the future.
I appreciate my pets, who get into mischief,
but always know how to snuggle up
and purr until I feel at peace.
I am thankful for my friends,
who have kept up with my crazy life
this year and will continue to be
on my side throughout the years.
I am thankful for the food provided
to everyone by God.  I appreciate
that there is a God. I appreciate
knowing on this one special day
we're all untied in our special thanks
that shouldn't only be on a holiday,
but on every day.

Thanks for the dishes

Thanks for turkey sales,
who allowed us to help donations prevail.

Thanks for listening
while my soul is spiritualally glistening.

Thanks for teaching us the value of sharing
to demonstrate our caring.

Thanks for shoes on our feet
