I actually wrote this while watching a documentary about the Housepainter's activities prior to the chancellorship in 1933, and I was amazed how blatantly he misled people, and also how similar it was to our own recent American history (you know who, what, and when I mean). We live in a world of petty despots, we make martyrs, we refuse to impact-act on warnings: (climate/China) we react to the damage while the polar ice melts and icy water bubbles at our feet. . A call to speak up muddies all waters. Individual beliefs and delusions and insanities muddy history. The net is like the New Tarit in Dune, it clouds the future. Predictions flop.
