And so was my reply dear: And so was my reply dear Starward in a metaphorical manner, short of being a poetic response. A thousand pardons.

The colors I spoke of were: The colors I spoke of were those assigned to races in order to segregate them.

Without any of the colours we: Without any of the colours we would not have the complete colour wheel.  It takes away voice as well and what remains are silent movies. Like moving on a treadmill without colour or sound makes for a bland and lifeless gym session.

Like being there!  You deploy: Like being there!  You deploy similes as artistically and skillfully as metaphors.

Thank you so much.  After: Thank you so much.  After this morning's early shocks, following my discovery of my carelessness, your kind words enable me to stop wringing my hands and to sleep better tonight.  Thanks so very much.

There is no offence taken and: There is no offence taken and in consideration of your present circumstances your timing is quite on point; knowing that you will get around to it when you can, and you have. I have found you to keep the conversation going so I imagine it like a chess game where time and circumstance necessitates one to leave the table and come back at some other time, they've depicted this in several films and even works of literature; a game of chess that spanned decades even. There is no real damage or offence to be forgiven and righted. Please feel at ease to come and go as your situation allows.

Thank you for saying so, and: Thank you for saying so, and please accept my apology for those of your comments that I failed to acknowledge in a timely way.  I think I have addressed them all . . . or at least those that I could find.

That music is distinct and: That music is distinct and pulls up specific emotions that only the silverscreen can evoke. Many film makers should have a periodic retreat into that 'magic' realm in order to keep the flame alive. A more recent film 'Hugo' attempts to encapsulate and encompass this expanse of the cinematic universe. Ben Kingsley, I think it is, does a fine job of this in has role as the pioneer cinematic director that became jaded and swallowed up by the present day drudgery.

I am so grateful for your: I am so grateful for your kind words that are seasoned with grace. Yes, the feelings that have arisen from the past process may leave an indelible mark and here we see a great benefit, privilege and honour of commenting and interacting after each read and considered thought. It's not a mere tipping the hat salutation but a fellowship of thought and community of awareness. This is where cross overs and bleed throughs are something to be missed and revelled in. James Joyce, yes, an apt and aid-ful reference Thank you again.

To care for such even when: To care for such even when there are good reasons for it being so, that is the mark of gentlemanly decorum. And as such is an example of how we can move in social graces. World peace begans with us in our little patch of the woods. Such a good thing to pass onward and forward, star-ward.

Now I am not only horribly: Now I am not only horribly embarrassed but also horrifically aghast that I have failed to acknowledge another one of your comments.  I do not know how to explain this unintentional omission except by admitting my stupidity and carelessness.  Please please please forgive me.  No disrespect was intended, but there is no excuse for what I failed to do.    I really like this comment you made:  it is poetic, theological, and philosophical (a philosophy of history---which reminds me of the Senior Seminar course I had to take in order to graduate in 1980), and I am very grateful for it.  Your precise understanding of these subjects always impresses me.    Again, please forgive my unintentional rudeness in failing to reply gratefully in a timely way.
