Nightlight, i appreciate ur comment and interest in this poem n respect ur opinion. But the rape image i used in here, was to show the pure brutality of a lost love. A love that really abused me. I compared it to a rapist, a unhuman creature that doesnt care about the victims, their bodies, souls and ignores the boulversing state that he leaves them in, after he rapes. Thats what an abusing love has done to me.
The abuse robbed you of your dignity, it hurt your ego, it made a massacre of your pride, and your respect for him....but you are the one who stopped loving. I understand abuse. And i understand also, how the abused can easily become the abuser when they associate that love is something that can be "taken" (or "takes"), because love gives. Nothing took those things (dignity, pride, ability to respect) ....they are badly bruised unless you choose "irreparable damage for yourself. (I would hope not for your sake). I like the poem and i empathize, as I, like most people nowadays, have had to get over abuse, but I do not agree with what the sentence infers.
I am empathetic towards how the abuse has left you, and i am even more empathetic about how you have shut love out.
....blessings.

...and he asked her, "do you write poetry? Because I feel as if I am the ink that flows from your quill."
It is a joy to see you as you truly are. I admire and respect your individuality and uniqueness, Muin. How lovely of you to give of yourself so freely! :-)

I think free spirited
I think free spirited wolf is accurate in what needs to be said about your comment regarding love raping.

But love doesn't
But love doesn't control.
Love is a state of allowance.
And rape is a crime of control over another.
A person who thinks love controls is usually unaware that their emotions are out of control.
Love doesn't control....or at least not for me.

"No", she replied, "but I have experienced it. "

Settles it down !
In my opinon( rape here as i
In my opinon( rape here as i took it is a metaphor used to describe the aftermath of love ( in case of seperation)....
Well after both our opinons the poetess knows the rest.
Yes, i see what you are
Yes, i see what you are saying... but even after seaparation...love is not emotion. Love just is.
...yes...only the poet knows... :-)
.love can bubble the emotions...but ultimately, we are the only ones' who have control over our emotions. Love just is...in everything and everyone.

Love no such thing! Whatever
Love no such thing!
Whatever that is binds families and married couples together, thats not love
Thats stupidity, or selfishness or fear. Love doest exist.
Self intrest exists, attachment based on personal gains exists
Complancey exists, but not love
LOVE HAS TO BE REINVENTED, THATS CERTAIN( Arthur Rimbaud)
Emotion or its existence.....
Lack of it is omnipresent.
This is as personal as I can get...
And thats the magic we all have are bicycles of ideas that makes everyone one of us who we are.
Muin i love your Rimbaud
Muin i love your Rimbaud quote :)
