Trust Dies.

Words spoken in cruel,

retaliation.

The same aggresive schpeel.

Dispite warning of growing,

aggravation.

We both grasp for angry,

conversation.

and for the right words to quickly,

admonish.

the guilt thrives,

While trust slowly dies.

This is almost too powerful for words on a first read. There are depths in this poem yet to be plummed, and I want to re-read and think about this before I comment further. One thing I do know: Rae's poems, like a beautiful lake, sparkle on the surface, but have depths and depths. More soon . . .

You say so, so much with so little words. The power in this is immense. Real, raw emotion shines through.

'the guilt thrives,
While trust slowly dies.'

...i liked that, Great piece.

interesting piece, sounds like a massive argument happened and the outcome was not only trust gone but any kind of relationship itself..
