grammar school puppy love, life long true love?

in your arms i feel whole again

in your presence im always wanted

is where i want to be

ive had loves before

but none like this

none have come back to me

until you



we grew up together

laughing and having fun

puppy love

thats all it was

or was there more to it....



i moved and but i still thought of u

did u think of me

i tried calling

u didnt answer

u had forgotten me



so i moved on

as did u

that was it

a love so true

just forgotten?



or so i thought

we met up and it was like we never left one another

u hadnt forgotten me

which made me glad

all this started as a grammar school puppy love romance

so why cant it end

as a life long true love?

i know its an interesting title but i wonder could it be true. ive known emily my entire life, and when i moved i thought that was it so i moved on as did she, but in the end we wound up back together, so why not

I really do not mean to be a bitch, but that was shit. There is no structure and the subject is so over done. It's too emo, too boring, you need to spice it up. Metaphor, and I don't mean "My love is like an apple, sweet and slightly crunchy!"... come on man, play around with it some more. And this IS meant is constructive criticism. I hope you find the time to insult my poetry back, because if everyone is nice and complimentary than none of us, as poets, will ever grow.

It gave me hope on an old love of mine, we've been on and off again over the years. But something always brings us back together. Even if it is just to remember the good ol' days.
