Tears Of Rain

Hidden in a mask for so many years,

no one knows of her real tears.

some say she's perfect, not even a scratch

to others she's ugly, but that's too much to grasp.

i think she's lost, dazed, and confused

caught up in the web of those who keep her amused.

she's trying too hard to be someone she's not,

trying too hard, she's trapped, she's caught.

tossed around like a bouncing ball,

but she doesn't seem to care at all.

handle with care she says to those boys,

my heart isn't something to be toyed.

but, no one seems to listen to her soft screams at night

it's easier to turn your back, and shut off the light.

until someone begins to see her true pain.

she's forever trapped in these tears of rain.
