Ever breath she takes

It hurts, it pains

Memories flood back

She wishes it was still the same

As it used to be.



Broken hearted,

She’s just skin and bones,

No love for her anymore

She’s so alone

Again.



Scars coat her skin

The beauty has faded

Her perfection shattered

Her worth degraded

Forever.



Her hopes have gone

Her dreams have disappeared

She can’t find the light

Just like she always feared.



She doesn’t sleep

And hardly eats

Dead inside and

Vanishing on the outside

Soon there’ll be nothing

Nothing left of her

No soul, no body

I don’t want that for her.

I don’t want to watch her fade away

Into the darkness.



I wish she’d be happy

I wish she’d recover

I hope she’ll be ok

Coz I love her

I wish I could make her see

That she means the world to me.



I’ll be there for her

For now and forever

I’ll be by her side

I won’t leave her alone

I don’t want to lose her

I can’t lose her

Not again.



I’ll wipe away the tears

And they roll down her cheeks

I’ll hold her as she shakes

I won’t let go

Not while she’s weak



I’ll teach her to smile again

Like she used to do

I’ll teach her to face the past

But look into the future too



One day she’ll be better

One day she’ll be strong again

One day she will live

Not because she has to

But because she wants to
