A Letter from Mommie

rSweetheart you were only three
when the lord came for me
way to young to understand
that mommie has gone to the promiced land.

Your daddy and your grandmother
will lead you through this life
you will grow up to be a fine
young lady one day and someones wife

You know sweet heart i did`nt want to go
and leave you here without your mommie
to hold your hand, kiss you goodnight
tuck you in so you would`nt be cold at night

Take you to your first day at school
watch your graduation and even be with you
when you walk down the aisle

But sweet heart i will always be with you
i will be in your heart,i will be in
your smile every time you look into
the mirror you will see a reflection of me..

I was four when my mother died

I was four when my mother died a sudden death. This is very heartwarming. Sometimes the living spouse cannot handle the emotioanl side of loss of this kind. It makes for difficulties in some people that can last a lifetime. I always considered myself 'the lucky one' in my family, because although I was at an age where I could not understand the concept of death, the 'abandonment' theme/schema is, in the end, what saved me, and made me much less materialistic and more spiritual in nature about life and love.

Beautiful write--!!

...and he asked her, "do you write poetry? Because I feel as if I am the ink that flows from your quill."

"No", she replied, "but I have experienced it. "
