I knew I didn’t fit in with the world around me

I was different from the people I knew

My whole family knew that night

And all I wanted was to know you

You were one of the night

And I was part of the day

I thought we could never be together

But I wanted you to stay

It happened all so quickly

These untapped powers I have in my head

You needed someone to unbind you

I needed my love to find you

I almost lost you once

Crucified on the cross as you were

The sun was rising slowly

But somehow I had the cure

We saved each other

From a life all alone

You with your faith and compassion

And I with your soul
