Like An Arctic Sea

The sun will surely find me

So, I will love despite my fears

A dime-a-dozen

Turning something

Greasing heavy all the gears

Cause, though the friction will turn to heat

I will not ignite

I will not fight

Wherever love leads me

Valleys sinking

Rivers leaking through the rolling hills

It's just a journey

So, don't you worry when it feels too heavy

You will gain more than it could ever steal from you

Now, the fountain's overflowing

Spilling freely from its barriers

Onto the ground

Seeping down

Into the earth's exterior

And, now I can feel it wholly

Peel back stony earth

Reveal what only

Those before me knew

I want to know what's on the other side

What turns stranger's into lover's

And, how pride can wash away the deepest footings

And, why we haven't learned to replace it with honest love

Now, if you're anything like me

Once frozen solid like an arctic sea

Then busted quickly and set free

Then, you know of what it is I speak

In the face of valleys sinking

As rivers trace through hills still rolling free
