Whatever Tomorrow Begets

Shed like a cicada

The curtains around you

Built years thick

Won't support you with

Things you pray for

Wings to lift you toward

The day your secrets

Rest safe and sound

So, lay them down

And, I will lay down myself

And, forever love you

And, never leave you

Until my last breath

Let's keep it simple

Not twist our words like string between thumb and thimble

And, just lay ourselves out there

And, give our love freely

So, when I hold you

Vulnerable and naked

Face to face

You can feel safe when

I say, "Truth and love

are the same,

so believe me as I say

how much I truly love you."

Let's keep it simple

Not twist our words like string between thumb and thimble

And, just lay ourselves out there

And, give our love freely

In the noon of our love

High and bright above

The sun rays ripple

Across a great blue sky

So, should clouds

Come creeping or rushing in

Slow or quick

Know that no matter what

I'm with you

Here to protect you

Support and confront with you

Whatever tomorrow begets

So, let's keep it simple

Not twist our words like string between thumb and thimble

And, just profess the truth we've found

In the love we possess right now

Let's us pray now

In Thanksgiving

In hope with charity

For the blessings

Truth befell upon us

As we fell astonished

Rose admonished

And free from the darkness

Of our cicada skin

Oh, believe me when

I say, "I've loved you since

the day of my conception,

and will until my reception

back into the source

from which truth is given."

Visual poet/ Libertine lost in a labyrinth of complexities, methaphors, searching for the essence/ Ink of life/ death to spell my syphilistic words on the page/ screen.
