A Devastating Fall

Folder:
2007

Pain won't come

It's much worse feeling numb

I'd give anything for sadness

To be granted to me in this moment

So, I could hold something within myself

And, know it's mine to own

Secondary light from a candle

It's so beautiful

But, it's nothing compared to the sun

And, isn't that how it goes

How life unfolds perfectly

But, leaves you wanting so much more

Come release me

From the prespective I'm seeing in

Give me distraction

Any form of attention please

So, I could know something outside myself

Might someday be mine to hold

Emotions are spilling

Though, none have meaning

There are signs within them all

Pointing me away

From a devastating fall

Speak louder now

Your voice is fading

And, I'm afraid when you gone

Cause, pain won't come my way anymore

And, I'm dying in the calm of the storm
