This world is confused

And truth is growing dim

While every tree is firmly rooted

Sometimes limbs still break in the wind

Then drift away into the silence of the storm



You’re my Fortitude

You’re my Foundation

My Faith and Salvation

You are everything I am

You are everything I lack

And everything in between

You take the world off my shoulders



I listen to the beats of life

Still I don’t understand the music

I am deaf to the symphony in Your eyes

It’s too magnificent for me to bare

But You capture me before I am drawn into the storm



You’re my Fortitude

You’re my Foundation

My Faith and Salvation

You are everything I am

You are everything I lack

And everything in between

You take the world off my shoulders



Thank You God for that tree turned into the Cross

That Your Son and my Savior wore until He died, so that I might live

And Dear God I’ve finally realized what Christmas is truly about

It’s more than just material gifts

It’s about Love



You’re our Fortitude

Our Faith and Salvation

You are everything that we are

You are everything that we aren’t

And everything You taught us that day

Takes the weight of the world off our shoulders



Thank You God for that tree turned into the manger

Where we laid Your Son that first Christmas day

So that thirty-three years later He might turn that manger into a cross

And take the weight of our sins off of our hearts
