Kelly Michelle is the quiet type
Never felt the need to get caught up in all the hype
Cause she says life means the most when silence talks
And if she had to bet one someone a hundred to one
She’d never see the chance that they could fail
Yeah, Kelly Michelle might just be the angel for me
And as we walk into the waiting room
We’re holding each other’s hand
Anxiously waiting for the news
And the doctor enters with a grin, and says
“Congratulations, you’re dreams are only nine months away”
Five years later, we still feel so blessed
Never knew that so much love could be in one girls chest
And so many questions that she asks take my breath away
I’m still amazed that someone so young can be so brave
She says, “I was riding my riding my very first bike!”
When the doctor asks how she broke her arm
And as we walk into the waiting room
We’re holding each other’s hand
Anxiously waiting for the news
And the doctor enters with a grin, and says
“Don’t worry Michelle, you’ll be as good as new I’d say.”
Now Michelle is thirteen and she comes to me
Says, “Daddy why’s Mommy so tired all the time?”
And I can feel a tear roll down my cheek
And I say, “God must need her more than we do.”
And we cry the rest of the night in each other’s arms
And as we walk into the waiting room
We’re holding each other’s hand
Anxiously waiting for the news
And the doctor enters with a grin, and says
“She told me to tell you this”
“Life is too beautiful to cry
So do as I did and live it
And someday I’ll be waiting for you
When the Waiting Room calls for you too.”
And as I cry Michelle come to me, and says
“Daddy, God must have needed her more than we do.”
Thank you for your comments, they really mean a lot to me. To answer your question, No, this is not a true story. It's just something that came into my mind.
Thanks again, Jonathan
