The difference isn’t when we say

“Hey I’m right and baby you’re so wrong.”

Doesn’t this sound like some tragic love gone awry

Out on the interstate the mile markers fade

So do the tears that roll from my eyes

Just like when we claim that what we say isn’t what we mean

We just push each other further away

“But, baby I don’t think that’s what love is meant to be.”



I just thought I could…

I just wanted to love you



The only difference here is our opinions now

“Isn’t it supposed to be easier now for us to work this out?”

I don’t agree with that and I’m thinking now maybe I never will

Cause baby when you said those vows

I thought that “I do” meant “I will”

Take a little pressure off and just let it work itself out

Now I’m thinking all we’ll ever have is time

But you say, “Hey I’m right and baby you’re not.”

Don’t take this too hard, but I have to leave

Although I’ll still love you until I die

Cause this isn’t what I thought it would be
