This three room tomb apartment

In is cage in-and-of itself

What did I do to deserve this hell

The telephone cord has been ripped away

Stripped today of any connection to the world

How did this development envelop me

I never intended it to be this way



You're a hunderd miles behind

But you still seems too close

To have any comfort here

I have to drink away the person I choose to be

Do you know what I know now

What I mean to say is

That we took the fucking easy way out

God, we always take the easy way now



Desperate for a change of pace

This cage is closing in on me

Do you know what it means to bleed

Well, how could you, you never open up

Before you love you always close you eyes

Why do you choose to be blind

Do you have any intentions to change

Or just conditions for me



Take it all back

I do not care

If you are sad

It's what I need

If you are mad

At least you can feel
