I Fall At Your Feet

Folder:
To God

I don't understand

How You can love me

See through the stain of deceite

See through the lies that cover me

And still You call me your friend

I don't understand

What kind of love that must be

I fall at Your feet

Still on my knees I am weak

Lie on the ground sinning and meek

Lie on the floor and too scared to speak

And still You call me your friend

I fall at Your feet

You give me strength when I am weak

Your love has captured me

Opened my heart, made me believe

That one day You will return

Save the ones who know Your worth

And for eternity I will praise You

The Blessed One

Hey Jonathon! This poem traveled directly to my heart. I just not was praying and asking the Lord the same thing: How can you love me? I know i'm not worthy, none of us are and yet he loves us. It's amazing isnt it?

I'd just like to say that this poem (along with many of your others) is really really good. Its so honest and full of emotion, and it conveys your brokeness in such a pure way. A lot of people can try to write songs about God just so that they seem cool or awesome or whatever, but your humility in this poem shows that you really do have a real relationship with God, and that is something that admire and am glad that i share.
