I'm Lost From You

My Thoughts

Tornado warning for the following... me and you

The heat has left and the cool winds rush in

Signs of what's to come

The sky has gone and the clouds roll

Signs of what's to come

So we run to the nearest strong hold

But we'll never out run the wind that we stirred up

Although we may try to hide, it will not be held back

And you say, "Here it comes. We ran too slow and hid too well."

Now the storm's overhead and we fight to the end

Cool winds that feed the thunder are more than we can bare

The clouds that roll blind our eyes

And it's more than we can with stand

And it's more than we stood for

Whirlwinds seperate us ripping us from the past

The past that we never really built

Hail stones beat us from a future

The future that we never really held

As the tornado moves on its way

You're lost from me

I'm lost from you

Showing us the bricks we laid were never true

We hid from the storm for too long

And in the end the storm caught us and we fell

Author's Notes/Comments:

This is about the destruction of holding in feelings can bring.
It's also about honesty and how it's crucial to a relationship. ("Don't run or hide from your problems!")
