Razor sharp wit and a mouth that doesn’t know when to quit
Trouble is but a vibrated breath away
That will ring in your ears and rattle around in your head for years to come
Like regret from a late smoke detector there’s a child searching for clean air
If he doesn’t stop, it will drop him
If he doesn’t roll away, it will consume him
But by then it’ll be too late to purge the ash from his lungs
This is dark, but lighter towards the floor
Simple rules of Thermodynamics, heat rises
And with it the smoke is taken heavenward
Safe haven is then found face down on the ground
Crying out for God to save you
The pupils unconsciously but suddenly grow disproportionably large
Though through the fog all is out of focus
Everything inside is well aware of the externally soot dried tear
Like a thirsty, sun dried river it’s path does not disappear
Permanently imprinted on the face
Tattooed on the child in order to last for ever
But this reminder does not belong in the presence of the innocent
It is dark, but lighter towards the floor
Simple rules of Einstein’s Gravity, water falls
And with it the soot is taken somewhere inward
Safe haven is then found face down on the ground
Crying out for God to save you
God save me from...
Thermodynamics and Einstein’s Gravity
One has gotten me high
One has taken me down low
But You are the Equatorial opposite
Somewhere in between
You see, I wish I could float
