Life (In The Context Of Memory)

Folder:
2005 - 2006

Last October, in the mix of it all I found you

And in the fury of the moment

Your eyes grew fixated heavily on mine

And lost in the seconds the lust beaconed

Me towards you like instant addiction

November came in went

The same did with December

And the subsequent year altogether went well

But there was always something missing

And I’d like to think it’s called “Love”

But then again, who am I to tell you that

Everything once known to be true evaporates

Even monuments built for heroes break

Because a heroes life, like a lover‘s, is not permanent

Except, of course, in the context of memory

All I wanted was for you to scream

To do anything to break the silence

But you couldn’t even do that… could you?

Couldn’t set personal vendettas free

So you let it eat us… let it eat you…

Then let it eat me alive

Everything once known to be true evaporates

Even monuments built for heroes break

Because a heroes life, like a lover‘s, is not permanent

Except, of course, in the context of memory

What will it take

To unhide the days we hid

Away from each other

We will always and only find…

Everything once known to be true evaporates

Even monuments built for heroes break

Because a heroes life, like a lover‘s, is not permanent

Except, of course, in the context of memory
