The racing sound of running feet
the sweat on brows feeling the heat.
The ushers smiles and says take a seat
The hearts overtaken by the crashing beat
Sirens scream high
Freedom winking goodbye
What to do they sigh
Three positions to be filled
They take it grudgingly
Like swallowing a large pill
Now stuck in the throat of their stubborn will
Jamming the conscience, choking the kill
They sit in their seats itching; but no ants
numb with fear in their pants
Out of rhythm
With the words of the preachers new dance
How long must they suffer this unwanted romance
Just a little while longer till the heat has died
Just a little while longer they struggle to swallow their pride
But this was the secret place unwillingly chosen for them to hide
Come out come out wherever you are
Come out come out, wherever you are
Into the dawning of the bright and morning star
