I was no earthly good
Until I became heavenly minded
I had no good seed
Until I began to breathe
The breath of his life
His holy spirit mid-wife
That delivered me from
Days of ne’er ending strife
I was incomplete
Till I took a seat
At his table and began to eat
True meat
The true meaning of me
Looking in a mirror to see
The key to the mystery
Of why he made me
Solely for his glory
For his praise only
Did my newborn eyes
Behold sunrays
And take first breath
I am his
from birth to death
You say I am too deep
But the ways of sin
Tis’ but too steep
And the fall too far
To retrieve
The deeper in him
The more covered I am
The deeper I dig
The more I remain hid
From the enemies skid
I was deep in sin
Now I am deep in him
In his will
His presence
His plan
As he is I am
I sit with him in heavenly places
I have the mind of Christ
In him I live and move
And have my being
I am deep in it
It is his presence
I am seeking
I am finding him
To be sweeter than honey
Brighter than days sunny
The joy beyond funny
The comfort that smothers
miseries flames
he is my only claim to fame
in him I glory
for he is the author
of my true story
so deep I will be
for I cannot haer him when he calls
while splashing in shallow falls
deep calleth unto deep
I am deep in him
